1. Greene River Days Parade
Everyone loves the Greene River DaysParade and
our residents are no exception. Most residents want to
watch from the dining room and living room windows but
can sit outside on the porch – if the weather is nice.
We prepare a sack lunch and enjoy the parade.
If you want to join your loved one, let the office know by
Wednesday June 12 and we can get a sack lunch for you
too.
2019 May Nursing Home Week – SUCCESS!!
We had a great year this year celebrating Nursing
Home Week with our residents, families, and staff.
We started the week on Monday with quarter
pounder cheeseburgers and french fries from McDonalds!
Tuesday Dan the Polka Man entertained us while
we enjoyed BBQ pork chops, chicken and brats with all
the trimmings! We were happy to have so many family
and friends of the residents join us for the picnic. Check
out the new shirts the staff all received for this week of
events.
Wednesday we were treated to Scratch Cupcakes
for staff and residents. Wow – they sure have a great
variety, and everyone picked their favorite.
Thursday was Staff Appreciation Day with candy
bouquets for all and acknowledgement of the staff
members who have cared for our residents twenty years
and more! Karen Worley and Julie Leavens have cared
for us for over 30 years! Jean O’Brien has cared for our
residents for twenty-five years. Deb Ott, Kim Wadey,
Jackie Wadey, Theresa Schmitt, and Martha Whiteside
have cared for our residents for over twenty years!! We
are blessed to have such a long-term staff who REALLY
CARE!!
Friday was pizza day with a variety of Casey’s
pizzas! A real treat for the residents and staff.

North Butler Elementary Students graced our walls
with colorful butterfly pictures, which we displayed for
Nursing Home Week. Grades Pre-K through 6th
grades
colored the pictures for the residents. The residents
enjoyed them so much, they are still proudly displayed. If
you didn’t get a chance to check them out last month –
come in and enjoy!!
Resident Outings
With good weather during spring and
summertime, everyone likes to be outside. For us to keep
track of our residents, we ask you to please sign out at the
Nurse’s Station before you go outside and sign back in
upon your return. Even if you are just stepping out for a
breath of fresh air, please let someone know!!
Our regulations require that we know where every
resident is always. Help us help our residents stay safe!
Thanks!!
New Nursing Staff
We welcome to our licensed staff three new

Improvement-QAPI Coordinator. She will assist Rae in
