Dear protesting students in Vienna, Graz and all of Austria,
We, National Union of Students in Denmark, want to show our support to your struggle.
The threat from tuition fees, undemocratic reforms and insufficient funding for education has become
reality in most European countries. In Denmark we are facing the same issues as you.
This led earlier this year to a nation wide period of protest, which had its peak on the 6th of October in
protests with thousands of students. This was not only a national matter; it was as well a part of the
international struggle.
Much influence on the national education systems comes from international institutions and processes
such as the EU and the Bologna Process, this means that we students have to stand united across Europe in
our struggles and demands for transparency, democracy and free education.
