Media Skills Audit (A2 Coursework)
1. My Skills audit at the beginning of A2
I currently rate my ability in the creative use of the following
technical skills as:

I set myself these technical skills targets, when I begin the A2
Coursework:
1. Be able to shoot a variety of shots to create meaning and depth
2. Use sound and images that are specifically appropriate for the
genre
3. Improve editing skills by experimenting with the editing software
4.Make sure the mise-en-scene is appropriate for task and uses the
correct lighting, props etc.

media text
2. Familiarise self with the particular codes and conventions of a
genre
3. Be able to come up with possible audience responses to a media
text
4. Practice analysis skills by doing essays and tasks that will improve
my analysis skills
3. I currently rate my ability to plan my own A2 coursework as follows:

I set myself these planning targets when starting my A2
coursework, as follows:
1. Manage time effectively by being productive and giving myself
personal deadlines for tasks such as creating a storyboard and
shooting script
2. Have all the music and props in place, saved in a folder etc. so it
reduces the time to search for items
3. Create a mood board or brainstorm of ideas I want to use in my
project and consider the difficulties beforehand so there are no
last minute changes
4. Use time in class appropriately and come into lessons with
materials prepared (e.g. planning or doing the research at home)

1. Choose the appropriate codes and conventions in order to create
meaning
2. Research my chosen genre beforehand and pick out the common
codes and conventions so that my coursework follows the same
guidelines
5. 3. Add diversity and creativity to my coursework so it is not entirely
similar to the tracks video I have used for my coursework
4.Be able to analyse my final project by the end of the course and
make sure it has created the message/has meaning in the way I
initially planned it to
