1. Help Me Collect School Supplies for United Way
My name is Sierra and I am a 5th grader at the International
School of Monterey. One of our summer homework assignments is
to help people who are less fortunate. I’ve chosen to support the
United Way Stuff the Bus Campaign by collecting school supplies
for children in need.
More than 3,500 children in Monterey County are homeless and
need school supplies. Providing children with the necessary
supplies to participate in school promotes learning, encourages
self-esteem and helps kids stay in school.
What You Can Do:
o Dontate supplies you have at home or whatever
supplies you can afford to give. See attached list of
needed supplies.
o Donate gift cards or money to Stuff the Bus. Make
checks payable to UWMC.
I will return to collect donations on Saturday, July 28, 2012
Thank you for helping children in need,
United Way and Sierra Brinton
