2. Earning an Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship
Dr. Todd Wortman has been providing cosmetic and restorative dental care to patients of all ages
for more than two decades. A graduate of the State University of New York at Buffalo School of
Dental Medicine, Dr. Todd Wortman belongs to several professional organizations and is a fellow
of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD).
3. Earning an Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship
Since 1952, the AGD has been providing support and resources to members of the oral health
profession. In recognition of oral healthcare professionals, the organization maintains the AGD
Fellowship. This award indicates a commitment to continuing education (CE) and quality care and
has been granted to only 6 percent of general dentists in Canada and the United States.
4. Earning an Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship
To become an AGD Fellow, professionals must be current members of the AGD. This membership
must be continuous for at least three years prior to application. In addition, candidates must have a
dental license that has not been under suspension or probation in the past five years.
5. Earning an Academy of General Dentistry Fellowship
If professionals meet the minimum qualifications, they must complete at least 500 hours of
approved CE. Further, they must pass the AGD Fellowship Examination, a test with 250 multiple-
choice questions in a four-hour session at the AGD Scientific Session or at a Schroeder
Measurement Technologies testing site.
