10. Angel Russo was born in New Castle, PA on December 17, 1985. She was a picture perfect baby and very welcomed to the family by her parents, Denise & Jim and her older brothers, Jimmy and Jared. Angel showed signs of developmental problems early on and was repeatedly diagnosed by several doctors as developmentally delayed. She came up thru the ranks of Nordonia School District as a Special Education student. When Angel was in her early teens she was diagnosed with autism – Asbergers Syndrome. Angel has been involved in Autism Speaks with her family and friends for six years now. Her participation began in Pittsburgh, PA with team Johnny’s Angels. She now proudly wears her Angel’s Army t-shirt and leads a large number of team supporters each year in our Walk for Autism. Angel sings in the choir at St. Barnabas Church and enjoyed a trip to Italy where the choir had the privilege of singing for Pope Benedict. She was named Student of the Year at CVCC and has won numerous awards in the Sales and Service level of competition. Angel has been a valued employee for the last three years at Wendy’s in Macedonia. She enjoys all kinds of music, dancing, singing, riding her bike, watching movies and being “Aunt Angel” to four nieces and nephews. She lives in Sagamore Hills with her mom and step dad, Dave
