1. Critical Commentary
As I reflect on my academic tenure at Argosy University, one of the major tasks that I have learned is time management. Fortunately I learned this skill very early. I must admit, working a full-time job and school full-time has not been easy. However, with effective time management skills, I have persevered. While improving this skill, I realized that in order to become more interpersonally effective, it was imperative that I eliminate the idea that multitasking was acceptable. And according to my self-analysis test, I have greatly mastered this technique! For example, in reviewing my self- analysis results, my cognitive abilities showed significant exposure when demonstrating my ability to choose from and appraise a wide range of psychological perspectives and theories within written and oral presentations. Furthermore, my understanding of research methods showed extensive exposure when demonstrating my ability to correctly summarize the research design, statistical and other evaluative tools, and findings of particular articles. Finally, my written communication skills showed significant exposure when demonstrating the ability to recognize and apply higher levels of organization and clarity. Also, the analysis showed my high level of able to identify, select, and apply appropriate levels of written work for specific audience(s). In addition to this, my ability in formal academic writing proved to be extensive which involved my ability to write with clarity in the areas of content, language use, grammar organization, and sentence structure all while using APA formatting.
With these great improvements in place, it would behoove me to focus on the life long process of learning. After all, it is a known fact that learning is truly a lifelong process. However, it is up to the individual to commit to this goal of continuation. As for me, it is my vision to maintain a future in lifelong learning through the curriculum of graduate school and future continued education. After all, it is my belief that when one stops learning, they stop growing.
