Martial Arts is a system of unarmed combat taught for self-defence, yet so much more is gained from constant training. Karate will improve your health, confidence, respect, discipline, focus and an overall change for the better to the way you live your life.
2. Let you make aware about Kids
Martial Arts
What is Martial Arts?
3. Martial arts are codified systems and traditions
of combat practices, which are practiced for a number of reasons:
as self-defense, military and law enforcement applications,
mental and spiritual development;
as well as entertainment and the preservation of a
nation's intangible cultural heritage.
The term martial art has become associated with the fighting arts
of eastern Asia, it originally referred to the combat systems
of Europe as early as the 1550s. The term is derived from Latin,
and means "arts of Mars", the Roman god of war.
4. Our Kids Karate Classes
O Students are introduced and taken through the process
of a normal Karate class. During our six lesson
program the class will be taught basic striking, blocking
and kicking techniques. They will also be taught a set
pattern which consists of street wise self defence
applications.
O Each class is designed to further increase the students
discipline, respect and focus of mind. We achieve this
by setting tasks that increase in performance level.
Tasks such as breaking boards, blocking against the
bamboo stick and several games.
5. Benefits of Kids Martial Arts
Benefits of our Kids Karate Classes are:
O Improved Self Confidence
O Improved Listening Skills
O Encouraged Physical Activity
O Goal Setting
6. Improved Self Confidence
Participation in a martial arts program helps even the
shyest child gain self confidence. Although an individual
sport, a martial arts program creates a community within
the school. Higher ranking belts encourage lower ranking
belts. This peer interaction and motivation helps increase
self confidence. Also, as children learn and master new
techniques, their self confidence will increase.
Improved Listening Skills
While training, your child will learn that respect is shown
by listening to the master and the higher ranking students,
particularly the black belts. Additionally, your child will
need to practice listening skills when learning new
techniques, which are required to advance in the belt
ranks.
7. Encouraged Physical Activity
Goal Setting
By engaging your child in a physical activity that focuses
on not only physical, but also mental exercise, you are
helping your child find a passion in physical exercise.
This will hopefully inspire them to keep moving and find
other physical activities they enjoy.
As your child moves along the belt ranks from white to
black belt, they are learning about goal setting and the
sense of pride that comes with reaching that goal.
