4. Just Plunder
Then the LORD said to Joshua,
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Take the
whole army with you, and go up and attack Ai. For
I have delivered into your hands the king of Ai, his
people, his city and his land. 2 You shall do to Ai
and its king as you did to Jericho and its king,
except that you may carry off their plunder and

5. Just Plunder: what does it look like?
• God’s way to initially create an inheritance
for Israel.
• God’s way is to dispossess the wicked (or
idle) and give to the righteous and diligent.
• Joshua commanded a nation to plunder to
gain their inheritance (Joshua 8:27).
• It is righteousness displacing
unrighteousness.
– Wealth of the wicked stored up for the
righteous (Prov 13:22)
– First Plunder belongs to the Lord –
first fruit (story of Achan)
• It is about your inheritance, not about
richness and ease of life.

property taken
through violence,
spoils of war.

6. Examples
• Dispossess others of their market share by:
– Inspired innovations – OPL Cape Town
– Hard work
– Fair work
– Clean work
– Straight work
• Holy Spirit inspired value-capture strategies,
tactics in financial attacks.
• Prophetic anointing and value capture – seeing
the trend / wave before others etc.

7. Self-finance / Kings’ Treasury
• A monumental paradigm shift
needs to happen to the church.
• The Levitical priesthood was made
100% obsolete and annulled by the
death of Christ
• Born again Christians have a NEW
HIGH PRIEST in the order of
Melchizedek ie Jesus
– King of Righteousness
– King of Salem (Jerusalem/
Peace)
– Priest of the Most High God
• We are born into the order of
Melchizedek through Christ –> we
are both king and priest (Rev 1:6).
• Businessmen do not exist to finance
priests-pastors!
• Those who are rich should give
richly to the kingdom endeavours.
‘Now if perfection [a perfect
fellowship between God and
the worshiper] had been
attained through the
Levitical priesthood (for
under it the people were
given the Law) what further
need was there for
another and different kind of
priest to arise, one in the
manner of Melchizedek,
rather than one appointed to
the order of Aaron?’

8. Kings’ Treasury
• Now a king has access to his treasury.
• Finance from your treasury received by
inheritance through faith and prayer – gold coin
in fish mouth (or other unusual miracles of
supply).
