2. 2. Step 1: Gather your Supplies
Would you like to learn how to make a trapper folder out of duct tape? It may take a while, but it is loads of fun. Lets try it!
First, you need to gather your supplies. You will need: about 15 yds. of duct tape, a measuring tape, a pen, scissors, and a paper to reference from.
3. 3. Step 2: Part 1
Next you will need to make many strips of duct tape. Make sure that they are a little bit wider than a piece of paper so when you put papers in there, they will fit inside.
4. 4. Step 2: Part 2
You need to lay out one strip of duct tape, and put another strip over the first one facing the opposite direction. Then tape another one ¾ down the strip of duct tape. Keep going back and forth ¾ down until you have a sheet that is a little bigger than a piece of paper.
5. 5. Step 2: Part 3
Once you finish, your sheet of duct tape should look a little something like this.
6. 6. Step 3
You will need to do step two again until you have two sheets of duct tape. Make sure to trim the edges of your sheets.
7. 7. Step 4
Now, you have to get two strips of duct tape that are as tall as the sheets, and you have to use those strips to seal the two sheets together. Remember to do front and back!
8. 8. Step 5: Part 1
Next you need to make a third sheet of duct tape.
9. 9. Step 5: Part 2
Then you will have to cut the third sheet in half and cut off angles if you want to.
10. 10. Step 6: Part 1
Then take the two halves of the third sheet, and put them onthe folder on the sides. Then take two strips of duct tape that are as tall as the folder, and put them along the sides sealing the pockets to the folder.
11. 11. Step 6: Part 2
It’s a good idea to put another piece of duct tape over the sealing duct tape on the pockets on the inside in order to match the color if you are using more than one color. Make sure to do that on the inside and not the outside though.
