2. Summary
Global Multimedia Systems (GMS) has been advertising local business to local shoppers at
major grocery stores in the past seven years using digital display boards. GMS has very deep
knowledge and experience how local advertisers expect their results.
This search engine (SE) technology was derived to correct the drawbacks of advertising local
businesses.
With the advent of smart phones, local business such as restaurants, hotels, new and used
autos can be searched using smart phones easily now.
But, many of the local businesses are not listed on the Internet, which means local shoppers
cannot search.
Reason is that to promote their products on the Internet is very expensive.
For example, businesses print advertising banners and place them on the streets or print flyers
and distribute them along with newspapers.
In general, these advertising methods for promotional products are not cost effective and do not
produce good results.
Lately Google, Baidu and other major online companies are encouraging them to list on the
Internet. For example, Google sales people visit these stores and take pictures of stores.
Problem with their service is that huge manpower is required and not cost effective.
For those reasons, online shopping sites found no simple methods to connect between local
businesses and local shoppers in real time method.
Therefore, the methods of very low cost, cost-effective and quickest ways to advertise their
products to local shoppers are very important.
GMS developed very simple, quick, robust, very economical communication and search method
system without the Internet for them. Our algorithm can display only the exact match when
information is searched. Hence users do not need to scroll pages and pages on tiny cell phone
screen.
Businesses can upload daily promotional products or service information at no charge at any
time instantaneously without any assistance.
At the same time, businesses can inform their customers use the service. Then local shoppers
can search promotional products or services easily at any time. This two-way communication
can benefit businesses and customers mutually.
Eventually, the words of mouths from customers accelerate this search method to spread fast
naturally.
Since this system is fully automated operation for uploading data to searching information, very
few IT personnel are required to maintain the database.
