Installation and Operation
In the case of general SMSs(System Management Solution), the user usually must perform separate environment setting work to
monitor the performance. With onTune however, all tasks required for monitoring can be completed by simple installation through our
install program Event Manager, Agent, and User Program packages.
onTune can manage the structure information of the management server as soon as it is installed without a separate changing of the
work or environment setting work, and also supports to analyze the performance history and monitoring through the data collection in
real-time by system administrator.
Report
System administrators spend so much time on making reports while managing
the operating system. They analyze the collected data by using analysis tools
to make monthly performance reports, as well as spending considerable
time in making power point or excel documents. As a result, many find it
nearly impossible to make performance reports well due to insufficient data
collected at the proper time even if it is necessary to make analysis reports for
the system status when problems occur. onTune creates power point type
performance/trouble analysis reports simply by mouse drag/drop, supplying
separate report making tool, Teem Report, and also changes the regular report
related to performance for the day/week/month/year into excel type reports
with simple point & click handling.
OS Parameter Management
onTune manages OS parameters for the Unix server(IBM, HP, SUN,
Linux). The OS parameters for the Unix server in operation can be
checked immediately through onTune. Additionally, the changed point
can also be checked if the OS parameter was changed and the Alert
setting is supported through the event. With onTune, it is possible to
trace connectively with OS parameter when performance issues occur.
Event
onTune supports TeemEvent, a tool for Event monitoring of the system,.
Through TeemEvent, system administrators can check whether the system
is normal by defining various management indexes necessary for system
operation at 5-staged levels. In essence, even if TeemEvent registers and
monitors the management index for the 7 categories, (performance, process,
log file, file system, Ping, service port, OS parameter) it is available to map
and register the management index by defining easily the category necessary
for each customer company. Additionally, onTune supports the category
setting function through the user definition.
