The first thing King Hezekiah did, when he received the threatening
message of insults and humiliation from King of Assyria, was to put
on sackcloth and came before God in the temple (Isaiah 37:14).
麻布意味着在神面前谦卑,悔改,哀伤或懊悔。
Sackcloth signifies humility, repentance,
mourning or remorse before God.
4. “谦卑”能讨神喜悦
代下7:14 - 神不会垂听我们除非我们先谦卑自己
来到衪的面前。
赛66:2“.... 我看重那谦卑和心灵痛悔的人....”
“Humility” pleases God
2 Chronicles 7:14 - God will not hear us unless we first humble
ourselves before the Lord.
Isaiah 66:2 “…..I will esteem the one who is humble and contrite
in spirit…”
6. 因为希西家王的谦卑....
神透过以赛亚先知向他说话 (37: 21-29):
Because of King Hezekiah’s humility…
The Lord said to him through the Prophet Isaiah (37: 21 –29):
首先,神已责备亚述人。
First, God had already condemned Assyria.
其二,神因亚述人的骄傲和他们所言而斥责他们
Second, God had rebuked Assyria for their pride and for
what they said.
其三,神会毁灭亚述 (37: 33-35)
Third, God will destroy Assyria (37:33- 35).
其四,神会赐福耶路撒冷 (37: 30-32)
Fourth, God will bless Jerusalem (37:30-32).
最后,神会使希西家王得胜
Finally, God will give victory to King Hezekiah.
8. GOD HEARS OUR CRIES WHEN
WE HUMBLE OURSELVES BEFORE HIM.
当我们在衪的面前谦卑自己时,
神就垂听我们的呼求。
所以你们要自卑,服在神大能的手下,
到了时候他必叫你们升高。
你们要将一切的忧虑卸给神,因为他顾念你们。
Humble yourselves, therefore, under God's mighty hand,
that he may lift you up in due time.
Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.
彼前 1 Pet. 5: 6-7
