BIO
Terence Thompson’s work is best known for his mobiles depicting scenes of
lynched slaves made from very distinctive materials such as twine, yarn, sticks, paper
towels, news paper, cardboard, fabric, frames, and wood. He creates his work by tying,
twisting, wrapping, cutting, taping and lacing. He deals with the haunting reality of
slavery and it’s effects in today’s society , along with the choice of living in disbelief of
slavery - and the darkness of mankind. He has so far shown work in the Philadelphia
area. He received his BFA in Multidisciplinary Fine Arts from the University of the Arts in
2015.
