Editor's Notes

  1. My campaign is focused on “Quiznos for Every Occasion.” This idea as you will see blends everyday “occasions” with occasions of celebration or holidays to show the diversity of Quiznos as not only a lunchtime quick meal, but as a way to integrate the brand into everyday consumer life.
  2. This ad is a human truth ad. The occasion for this ad is back to school. Consumers can relate to this ad because we all remember wrapping our textbooks in that brown paper bag and writing the class subject on the cover. The copy is limited to the subjects of the classes as “Subtology,” “Fresh Studies,” and “Toastology.” This brings together the core product of Quiznos which is fresh, toasted subs. The girl in the ad has her eyes directed up and over which draws the consumer to follow this direction to the Quiznos logo. The girl is smiling which elicits a happy emotion to be associated with the brand and the fresh, toasted subs.
  3. This ad is also a human truth ad for the everyday occasion of grocery shopping blended with what to eat during the week. The copy reads “Because no one knows what they’re going to want for lunch on Wednesday when they’re at the grocery store on Sunday.” The design begins with a woman at the grocery store questioning what she should buy. Her lower hand is holding a basket that is cut off, causing the consumer to continue down the ad and read the copy followed by an attractive lunch combo at Quiznos.
  4. This occasion is in celebration. The ad is a pun that reads “Raise a toast to freshness.” This also brings in the core of Quiznos as fresh, toasted subs. The design is synergized by the connection between the copy of “raising a toast” and the women raising their subs as if giving a toast. The copy is stairstepped on the ad to give focus to the word “toast” which is centered above the Quiznos logo.
  5. This occasion is the holidays and the design is planted on Quiznos giftcards. The copy brings in verbal metaphors with funny quips, “portable craving busters” and “Toast 2.0.” The design begins as a typical gift card design with the red ribbon and company logo. But subs are tucked under the ribbon. The colors of the ingredients in the sub bring harmony to the overall color scheme of the card with the green in the Quiznos logo and the red in the ribbon. The font also matches the color scheme with a silver/gray tone to match the snow flakes.
  6. Following the holiday theme, this is a social media ad for a Facebook cover page. The background of the image is erased to demonstrate a “realness” to the picture that this could actually be people standing behind and holding this rather large sub. All of the faces look happy and ready to dive in and begin eating. The girl on the very left is turning her head toward the other people which causes the consumer to follow her eyes down the line of the image.
