To: Licensed Nevada Liquor Importers and Manufacturers
Subject: Liquor Tax Rates and Early Payment Discount
With the passage of SB 8, effective 8/1/03, the Nevada Liquor Excise Tax will increase as
follows:
Type of Alcoholic Beverage New Rates
Malt Beverages $.16 per gallon
.5 through 14% alcohol .70 per gallon
14.1 through 22% alcohol 1.30 per gallon
22.1 through 80% alcohol 3.60 per gallon
With the passage of AB 4, effective 8/1/03, the early payment discount for liquor excise tax paid
on or before the 15th day of the following month, a discount in the amount of 0.5 percent will be
allowed.
