 4 years of experience in Oracle Database Administration with RAC, Performance Tuning
and standalone.
Summary:
 Working with various backup strategies in RMAN, online backup, cold backup and logical
backup.
 Providing support for all database issues like TS, User Management, Ora errors , Data

Project Name: BANKING SYSTEM
Client : Bank of Montreal
Organization : Tech Mahindra, Chennai
Project Description:
This is a 2-Node RAC architecture having ASM as the storage device. Project has
been developed to deal with all the internal banking operations and the external Customer’s
services. The integrated banking Automation system is designed to handle the head office and
the branch office transactions. At head office the project deals with employees personal
information, employees pay roll system, describing the policies related to customers accounts
opening / closing, the advances to its customers, bank reconciliation. The branch office
transaction deals with the opening of accounts / closing / with drawls and the deposits. The
branches are able to give the advances on their limits. Branch office contains demand deposits,
term deposits, advances, services, accounts, admin, communication, and modules.
Roles & Responsibilities:
 Implemented 2-Node RAC with raw devices and ASM Library Interface.
 Monitoring and maintaining cluster DB’s for their Optimal Performance.
 Trying to ensure 100% availability of the DB’s.
 Upgraded the database from 11.2.0.3 to 11.2.0.4 by applying patch.
 Good hands on experience on CPU patching.
 Backup database using Datapump and export/import.
 Taking backups using RMAN and Recovery.
 Performed Database Cloning from Production to Test environment.
 Monitoring and optimizing the performance of the Database through Stats pack/AWR.
 Moving data between databases using utilities like Import, Export, and Datapump.
 Decommissioning of Databases, Which request by customer and get necessary approvals.
 Checking Alert log, trace files, listener log and other database job logs.
 User creation and providing necessary Roles, Privileges and quota as per the

Humana Inc. is a Louisville, Kentucky-based for-profit health insurance company. As
of 2014 Humana has had over 13 million customers in the U.S. It has been well health care
provider in USA. It integrates claim data with customer, membership, provider, product and other
support health care data.
Roles & Responsibilities:
 Handling day-to-day system and application problems.
 Regularly monitoring health checkup of all production databases and preparing reports
accordingly.
 Installation of oracle 10g/11g both windows/UNIX Environments.
 Schema management, user creation, profiles etc.
 Monitoring the growth of table spaces and re-organizing the tables.
 Table space management, extent and segment management.
 Monitoring the databases and Check Alert log for errors.
 Performed logical backup using export/import & Data pump.
 Analyze consolidate and tune database for optimal efficiency.
 Monitor systems and platforms for availability.
 Restore and recover corrupted databases.

The project involves maintaining the monthly payroll of employees of a company
& handles the following functions. Maintaining the employee attendance, recording daily working
hours, Calculation for standard deduction & net salary.
Roles & Responsibilities:
 Study and Analysis of Business requirements.
 Installation of oracle 10g and creating databases on UNIX Environments.
 Configuring init.ora parameters.
 Creating Users and granting Roles & Privileges to users
 Monitoring the Table spaces and adding/resizing database files.
 Managing Table spaces for different users by granting quota on Default Table spaces
 Monitoring the growth of table spaces and re-organizing the tables.
 Check Alert log for errors and take necessary actions to rectify them
 Managing Redo log files in archive log mode for online backup.
 Taking Scheduled backup as per a backup plan using EXPDP and Hot backup.
 Planning Backup and Recovery procedures.
 Configured and maintaining RMAN to take Oracle Databases backup.
 Taking Scheduled backup as per a backup plan using EXPDP and Hot backup.
