STEP ONE :
Goto the following link to register online

Check to ensure you satisfy the registration criteria
If you are uncertain whether you should satify the
registration criteria, do consult a GST consutlant.
General rule : Any
person who makes a
taxable supply for
business purposes and
the taxable turnover of
that supply exceeds the
threshold of RM500,000
is required to be
registered for GST.

4. NEW DEFINITION OF FOR SME
STEP TWO :
Check to ensure you satisfy the new SME definiton
If you are uncertain whether you should satify the
registration criteria, do consult a GST consutlant.
Manufacturing: Sales turnover not exceeding RM50 million OR
full-time employees not exceeding 200 workers
Services and other sectors: Sales turnover not exceeding RM20
million OR full-time employees not exceeding 75 workers

In addition there must be minimum local equity of more than 50%

companies (GLCs), Syarikat Menteri Kewangan Diperbadankan (MKDs)
and State-owned enterprises.
