5. IMS (Railways) Application Features
• The Central monitoring unit (CMU) creates
configuration of yards and their batteries and
associates each config. with a picture of yard.
• CMU will send alarm messages, through
SMS to a specified mobile number in a
human readable form.
• The IMS will escalate the alarm status to
higher officials based on hierarchy: Up-to 4
levels if the error is not rectified within a
specified period of time.
• The Status can also be polled from the CMU
