I worked up this bifold brochure using Adobe InDesign. It explains a little bit about the service-learning program that I coordinate at Judson College.

Poverty is a reality for many residents of Perry
County, the home of Judson College. Nearly
one-third of the county’s population - and almost
half of its children - live in poverty.
As an institution committed to following the
example of Christ in word and deed, Judson
College is compelled to address the needs
of its neighbors. The College formalized its
long commitment to service in 2005 with the
establishment of the Office of Faith-Based
Service and Learning.
More than eighty percent of Judson’s students
participate in community service each year
through the Faith-Based Service and Learning
program, engaging with human need in a way
that builds faith, improves learning, promotes
lifelong service, and provides meaningful help to
individuals, families, and communities.
Judson students have taken part in community
health screenings, distributed food and
clothing, mentored children and teenagers,
created a local nature preserve, and helped build
homes for their neighbors.
As a result of these and other efforts, Judson has
been recognized as a national leader in service
learning and civic engagement by the Carnegie
Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, the
Corporation for National and Community Service,
and the US Department of Education.
