2. STEP 1 - CREATE NEW COMMUNITY
Building a community sounds
like a daunting task, but it is
really a very simple and scaleable
process.
First, log into your Survey
Analytics account. Once inside,
you want to be under the
“Communities” tab.
In the top right corner, click
“Create New Community”, and
then give that Community a
name, a heading, and a URL.

3. STEP 2 - CUSTOMIZE THE LOOK & FEEL
Once your Community has a name
and a unique URL, the next thing
you want to do is to customize the
look and feel of your member
portal. You want this to look as
exciting as possible!
Upload a Community Header
image, which will function as the
main branding and imagery for your
page. You also have the option of
using HTML to fully customize the
page to look any way you like.

4. STEP 3 - TOGGLE COMMUNITY MODULES
Once you have decided on a nice
looking theme and image for
branding, the next thing we want to
do is click on “Advanced Settings”
and visit the “Community Modules”.
Specifically, look for things like
Points & Rewards, Community
Questions, Live Discussion,
Community Events and more.
Notice that you can toggle these
features on and off. These are
important tools to utilize, as they
keep your Community members
active and engaged.

5. STEP 4 - MANAGE COMMUNITY PROFILE
The next area we want to look at
is under “Members” and “Profile”.
This is where you can set up fields
to collect all the juicy data about
your members. Whether you are
importing an Excel doc of
information, or if you are asking
members to complete their
profile (for an incentive), you can
use this valuable information for
targeted surveys. For example, if
you want to send a survey
specifically to females in a certain
geographic area you can do that
as well. Keep this in mind when it
comes to deployment.

6. STEP 5 - USE POINTS & REWARDS AS INCENTIVES
Another key point to remember is
to utilize points & rewards as
incentives to keep your Community
members happy and active. Click on
“Incentives” and then “Inventory”.
Through our partnership with
TangoCard, you are provided with a
large variety of virtual rewards and
gift cards. You can also add a custom
reward for anything you want.
Specify the number of points
required, select the prize, and you
are all set. To the right are a just a
few of the rewards to choose from!

7. STEP 6 - CAMPAIGN FOR NEW MEMBERS
Finally... you’ve set up your
community, you’ve customized
the look and feel of it, and you’ve
set up a rewards system. The
only thing left to do is to get
bigger!
Whether it be through our
Refer-A-Friend campaign, our
Email delivery system, or social
sign-ups, your goal is to grow
your Community to be as
representative of your brand as
possible. Lastly, send surveys out
to your community members
and start analyzing.
