* The government raise excise duty on SUVs to 30 per cent from 27 per
 cent.
* Hike on customs duty on luxury cars from 75 per cent to 100 per
 cent.
* Custom duty on motorcycles above 800 cc will go up to 75 per cent
 from 60 per cent.


* Concession on the import of key components for the hybrid and
 electric cars.
*
* Zero excise duty on cotton textiles at fibre, yarn, fabric and
 garment.


* Reduction in the base custom duty for imported textile machinery
 and parts from 7.5% to 5.0%.


* The duty on imported raw silk from 5% -15%.
*

* For leather sector, the minister proposed to reduce the duty on
 specified machinery for manufacture of leather and leather goods,
 including footwear, from 7.5 per cent to 5 per cent.

    Mobile phones: Expensive mobile phones i.e. mobile phones which
    are priced at more than Rs. 2000 will also have to bear higher excise
    duty of 6%. However, mobile phones which are not more than Rs.
    2000 will continue to be levied a concessional excise duty of only 1%.

* Road Regulator to be introduced
* Over 3000 km road projects across Maharashtra, Gujarat, MP to be
 awarded in 6 months time in 2013-2014
* 2 new major ports announced in AP and WB.
* Infrastructure Debt funding - 4 of these to be in place to extend
 funding at lesser rate
* Tax-free infrastructure bonds of Rs 50,000 crore to be issued

    Tobacco-Products: The Finance Minister has proposed to increase
    the specific excise duty on cigarettes by about 18%. Similar
    increases are also proposed on cigars, cheroots and cigarillos.
