3. This project was especially
designed for an interactive
museum. It explains the
basic principles of how an
elevator works. It is fun and
simple to use. One of the
main objectives is to learn
while playing. The elevator
will only go up if the right
amount of weight is placed on
the donut platform. After
each weight is placed on the
platform the handle should be
turned and if nothing happens
more weight should be added
until elevator goes up.

facilitates transportation for young executives and college students.
Its main purpose is to reduce pollution. While many people ride a 5
person car alone they could save gas by driving a smaller electric car.
This car is more comfortable than a motorcycle and its cheaper than a
car.

poisonous dart frogs of the Amazon. Both form and colors, as well as
functions arose from this concept. The product was developed to perform
two parallel roles, cook rise and steam vegetables. Its an innovative product
not only in its use and easy manipulation but its appearance. It is a beautiful
appliance that you can take to the dining table or leave at sight in the kitchen
as part of the decoration.

especially designed for handicapped people who cannot rise from the
bed. Not only does it provide a comfortable position to use in bed -both
for men and woman- but is easy to clean and handle for the patient’s
caretaker. The whose accessory has two functions: the primary one is to
facilitate male urination through a funnel that channels the urine into the
bed pan; the second one is to improve the basin’s cleaning through a
hose that can be connected to a faucet.

needed depending on the age of the plant. This system is operated by a computer software
and can be adapted to particular needs. Here in Colombia there is no product that resembles
this one. Illumination today is done with light bulbs hanging from wires and light is controlled
with black bags with holes on or near the light bulb. This system adjusts the lighting according
to the program by closing or opening its arms, therefore the plants get more or less light.

8. “Vulcano” is an interactive machine designed for “Explora”, a new museum
in the city of Medellin. It simulates a volcanic eruption and the formation
of mountains as a result. The idea with this machine was to learn through
creative exploration, where fun interaction and playing take place. Vulcano
has 3 different phases: the first button activates an “earthquake”, the
platform moves and thunder sounds are heard. The second button
(second phase) blows smoke from a smoke machine under the platform,
this simulates the gases that emerge from a volcano before an eruption.
The third and final phase is the volcanic eruption, which is simulated with 2
different types of sand that separate when expelled and create layers as
they fall (one black, one white) the view that the person or the simulator
has is one of a volcano cut through the middle.

more protection for the ceramic products against fractures and/ or scratching, which happens
regularly during transportation and generates high transit costs. This mesh is being used around
the world but is yet to be implemented in Colombia. This is an adaptation designed by me for

eliminates the need for box assembly. Which is not only tedious but uses other materials like
glue, staples, and cardboard dividers.

help preserve the environment by
creating eco-friendly products. At
Compañía de Empaques we saw
a great opportunity of contributing
to this great cause by giving
people the option of not using
plastic bags when grocery
shopping. This eco-bag is made
out of Fique (Colombia's Natural
Fiber) 100 % Biodegradable, so it
will not pollute when thrown away.
Because the fiber is something
traditional we wanted the image
to evoke our native crafts, this is
why the image concept is based
on Molas, (an artisan technique),
Arhuacan print, and ancestral
drawing. There are three different
catchy phrases to motivate the

brooches or buttons could be used. The Geniality of this package
is surely on how it can be displayed, in any store on a table by
turning them some up some down (sotto sopra) an S shape can
be constructed witch give a plus to the package in the point of
purchase. It can also be displayed regularly on any shelf and the
content can be seen though. Just by easily opening the package
the customer can see the fabric quality and fell the texture of the
linen. The package has a retractable handle this for the comfort
of carrying the product home by the user and for store handling
with this feature there is no need to take home product in a plastic

21. Cardboard is the best material to use with this concept because
because its natural the color is neutral and comes from nature, also
all cardboard produced now comes from plantations that will after be
re foretasted so its actually ecological and 100% recyclable. The
graphic proposed all in someway have to do with the concept, the are
minimal and natural very zen like. No colors they will be cut out so
that a window is formed to show the linen inside (colors and pattern).
This package is multifunctional it works as a package and as a
exhibition device. In stores it can be nicely displayed on a table so
customers and see touch and fell what comes inside. It really easy
to handle , open, close and transport. Linen is hold in place inside
with elastic bands and this is also how box is closed. The outside
band also works as a handle so customers can carry it home and no

22. This proposal is inspired by the iris diaphragm mechanism in old cameras. This
mechanism transformed in a more graphic way that can be related to the initial idea and
making it producible. The bottle opens and closes when turning the cap one way or the
other. This mechanism resembles the one that some powder bottles have. When the
hole align it is possible for the product to come out. This bottle also was inspired by the
optical zoom lens that cameras have, providing the bottle an easy grip to hold it and a
texture to prevent the bottle from sliding when used inside the shower and in contact
with water. This mechanism is translated into a graphic so that other bottles belonging
to the same family but with a different shape can be seen and identified as a whole.

slides to the left or to the right were you can find to different size dispensing holes, one
for more quantity and the other for less. It’s a very simple mechanism that can be
achieved easily with no excess costs. This bottle has two identification faces one is the

capacity to store and separate o different compartments. This
packaging has the ability to store fruits and vegetables according to
the needs of each specific costumer. It has inner divisions that
protect and separate fruits this separator can be arranged around
the fruits as needed it can be cardboard and after each use it is
thrown away. The rest of the box can be used several times.

and less costly transportation. The die cut on the box allow the fruits
an vegetables to breath and condensation to migrate from the box,
this way the product is conserved better

are stored this gave the idea for the outer pockets of this idea, they
are separate and classify the products and keep them in better
shape. This pockets can be arranged and rearranged each time the
product is used according to needs because pockets can be
different sizes and also are removable, this means you can replace

28. The label for this bottle was to be designed for a High
end Wine from Chile to be sold at duty free stores and
tourist souvenir shops. One of Chile icons was chosen
the Easter Island Moais and used for the graphs of the
label. A bit distortioned and with a Picasso feel to it
younger targets would be the target. It feels fresh new
and elegant. The bottle was also picked to resemble the
sculptures that stand tall long and slim. Not many Wine
bottles like this one are found in the market so this
feature makes the bottle stand out in a shelf were the
rest have the same shape. Because of this shape of the
bottle the final label was picked a 2 piece label that fill
