1) Heart failure is a growing problem globally and in Southeast Asia. It is estimated that there are 360,000 to 1.8 million people in Vietnam who have chronic heart failure. 2) Guidelines for the diagnosis and treatment of heart failure are continuously updated with new drug classes and therapies that will change the prognosis of heart failure. 3) Vietnam has made progress in heart failure treatment including heart transplantation, left ventricular assist devices, and developing heart failure guidelines. However, more investment is needed in epidemiological research and applying new treatment methods.

10. Tại Việt nam ?
- Tại Việt Nam, tuy chưa có một nghiên
cứu chính thức về tỉ lệ mắc suy tim,
- song theo tần suất mắc bệnh của thế giới
(0,4- 2%), dựa trên dân số 90 triệu người
(thống kê vào tháng 11/2013),
- ước tính có khoảng 360.000 đến 1,8 triệu
người nước ta bị suy tim mạn tính [1].

Reduced Ejection
Fraction (HFrEF)
≤40% Also referred to as systolic HF. Randomized clinical trials have
mainly enrolled patients with HFrEF and it is only in these
patients that efficacious therapies have been demonstrated to date.
II. Heart Failure with
Preserved Ejection
Fraction (HFpEF)
≥50% Also referred to as diastolic HF. Several different criteria have
been used to further define HFpEF. The diagnosis of HFpEF is
challenging because it is largely one of excluding other potential
noncardiac causes of symptoms suggestive of HF. To date,
efficacious therapies have not been identified.
a. HFpEF, Borderline 41% to 49% These patients fall into a borderline or intermediate group. Their
characteristics, treatment patterns, and outcomes appear similar
to those of patient with HFpEF.
b. HFpEF, Improved >40% It has been recognized that a subset of patients with HFpEF
previously had HFrEF. These patients with improvement or
recovery in EF may be clinically distinct from those with
persistently preserved or reduced EF. Further research is needed
to better characterize these patients.

37. KẾT LUẬN
1. Suy tim là vấn đề quan tâm hiện nay không những
tại quốc gia phát triển mà tại khu vực Đông Nam Á.
2. Các khuyến cáo suy tim liên tục cập nhật với các
phương tiện và nhóm thuốc mới chắc chắn sẽ làm
thay đổi cục diện sống còn của suy tim.
3. Việt nam đã có nhiều tiến bộ trong điều trị suy tim
như: ghép tim, cấy máy trợ thất, xây dựng khuyến
cáo suy tim…
4. Tuy vậy cần xây dựng chiến lược đầu tư vào nghiên
cứu dịch tễ học với sự ứng dụng các phương thức
điều trị mới./.
