Types ofInternship wearelookingforIUC students
Paid internships - The rate of remuneration is determined by company`s polices
Unpaid internships - IUC is committed to support its students and strives to provide a
financial support in the framework of “Erasmus +” programme, as long as this will significantly
contribute the students professional skills development; refers to all EU countries, Iceland,
Lichtenshein,Norway,Shitzerland,MacedoniaandTurkeyonly!
Length ofthe Internship
Minimum 2 Months ; Maximum 3.5 Months (from beginning of June till mid-September) up to 5
Months (occasionally).
Thesuitable timeforengagingIUC students as Interns
For the first and the second year students, summer is the suitable time /from beginning of
Junetillmid-September/;
For recent graduates the suitable time is right after the end of their last academic year
/frombeginningof June/;
Alumni -throughthewholeyear,dependingonagreementbetweentheStudentandtheEmployer.

6. IUC Career Center
Step by step: Who does what?
Signing an “Agreement of cooperation” stipulating the terms and conditions for
cooperationbetweenIUC andtheEmployer/notmandatory/;
Sending a company`s short presentation to IUC Career Center, vacancies and profile
requirements;
The IUC Career Center matches the most suitable students or alumni, based on
requirements.Ashortlist will be submitted to the Employer for consideration and selection
ofpreferredcandidates;
Conducting interviews with selected students or alumni - the Employer is always advised to
conduct the interview; it could be done in person or through a video conference system or
Internet/Skype/;
SelectingandchoosingtherightInterns,basedon theIntern`sprofile;
If yes - filling and signing a “Student`s Internship Agreement” by the Employer, the
Intern and IUC, provided by IUC; indicating the official start date, the name and contact
information of the Intern`s supervisor; terms and condition under which this Internship will
befunded;ifno -IUC continueswithpresentinganothermatch;
IUC Career Center assist the chosen Intern/s with filling documents, obtaining visas,
receiving work permits, buying travel tickets, accommodation and overall support
throughoutalltheinternship;
The Employer meets the Intern when he/she arrive (not mandatory), supports the student
withtaxauthorities;
The Employer makes an Induction for Intern, regarding health and safety regulations, as
fire emergency evacuation arrangements; first aid regulations, legionella polices, how to
report accidents, incidents and unsafe conditions and est.; IUC provides the students with
Final evaluation report which should be filled in by the mentor, one week before the end of the
internship.
