 Seniority Culture (During Promotion)
3. WRITE DOWN VARIOUS VISION AND MISSION OF TWO
LOCAL/INTERNATIONAL AGENCIES YOU KNOW.
A) NPC (NATIONAL POWER CORPORATION)
VISION: A world-class power corporation providing reliable and reasonable-priced
electricity in all missionary areas in 2025; managing sustainable watersheds and dam
resources for power generation; and optimizing the use of remaining power generating
assets.
MISSION: NPC is committed to:
 Provide reliable power generation and its associated power delivery systems to
ensure total electrification of missionary areas while encouraging private sector
participation;
 Manage its watershed and dam operations to support power generation;
 Operate and maintain the Agus and Pulangi hydroelectric power plants; and
 Adopt innovative power technologies and business processes to respond to
customer needs.
B) Sulu State College
Vision: The Sulu State College As center of Excellence in BARMM producing globally
competitive graduates and as an institutional steward in the development of the region.
Mission: SSC is committed to develop academic stalwart and globally competent
professionals, producing cutting edge research, knowledge and Technologies for
sustainable development; engage in partnership and viable resource generation
programs.
4. ANALYZE THEM AND WRITE DOWN THE COMPONENTS AND
CHARACTERISTICS YOU OBSERVE IN THOSE MISSION AND VISION
STATEMENTS.
Their vision and mission statement are both optimistic despite the pandemic we’ve
experienced. They are sticking with their goals towards improving the quality of
services they are providing to their consumers. They are also giving an economic
opportunity to many Tausugs and Sulu in general by catering the needs of the
people through their services.
5. DISCUSS HOW CLEAR VISION STATEMENTS CAN BENEFIT OTHER
STRATEGIC MANAGEMENT ACTIVITIES.
A clear vision outlines an organizations future aspiration and defines the direction
in which it intends to go. A well-defined vision statement can be a good help in
guiding the strategic management activities of an organization.
1. Provides Clear Direction- It helps to align the efforts of all stakeholders towards
a common goal. By having a shared understanding of the organization’s
direction, strategic decisions can be made more effectively, and resources can
be allocated more efficiently.
2. Guides Decision-Making- A vision statement provides a framework for
decision-making. A clear vision can be used as a benchmark for evaluating
which option is most aligned with the organization’s objectives.
Motivates Employees, Improves Communications among others.
