ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT
TOPIC: ECOSYSTEM
The first reporter discussed about the Ecosystem wherein he gave the overview or
wholeness of an ecosystem and its definition. They also talked about the different components of
ecosystem and the symbiotic relationship of all organisms living in a particular ecosystem. They
emphasized that all organisms needs other organism for them to live. Meaning, in an ecosystem
there is a give and take relationship among all organisms.
The next topic they discussed is the energy flow and pyramids of energy were they
showed through a slide on how the energy passes through the different level of consumption. The
biggest amount of energy was acquired by the primary consumer while the last consumer
received or acquired the lease amount of energy. Like we human as secondary consumer we only
acquired 90% of energy from the plant.
On this presentation, some of the topics we tackled in the previous years was refreshed.
After the reporting the reporters gave a challenge: How we preserve and protect our
ecosystem were this earth our ecosystem is the only planet can sustain LIFE.
