Managing The Spill
1. Assessment & Assistance
 Assist injured persons
 Evacuate unnecessary persons from area
 Assess capability to manage spill
 Report incident to management
 Call for assistance if required
 Set up barrier around spill
2. Containment
 Isolate local drains
 Surround spill if safety conditions allow with Spillzorbe
 Stop leak if safety conditions allow
Safety
 Check MSDS for actions to manage product
 Select and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment
Application: Suitable for use on oil and water
based substances, diesel, mild acids ( excluding
hydrofluoric acid), alkali substances.

2. 3. Spill Absorption
 Surround and contain spill with Spillzorbe
 Work from perimeter of the spill towards the centre
4. Collection and Disposal
 Pick up the wetted absorbent
 Place into marked waste container (bag or bin)
 Continue procedure 4 until all product is removed
 Dispose in accordance with EPA requirements
 Decontamination of equipment and personnel
 Use PPE to be cleaned for future use or disposed into bag
5. Reporting
 Advise management that incident is complete
 Prepare reports for the product and site license conditions
 Refer report to Safety Committee
 Review occurrence of incident and response to the incident
