The Big Ben clock tower in London was built from 1843 to 1859 after a fire at Westminster Palace. Architects Charles Barry and Augustus Pugin designed parts of Big Ben and Westminster Palace. Big Ben stands over 100 meters tall and weighs over 8,000 tons. It has not chimed since 2017 due to ongoing renovations, and will remain silent until around 2021.

❏ The main tasca of the maintenance staff is
that the clock is not delayed a second. To
achieve this they help of cent coins.

delay time of watches from all four sides of
the tower.
❏ It is the second largest four-sided clock.
❏ The clock is bending more and more.

all over the world.

9. Why doesn’t sounds ??
Almost, two years ago , that the Big Ben doesn’t
sound.
Doesn’t sound, since this reform.
It had 157 years without reforming, and in 2017
they decided to start to reform it.
Clock will not return to sound untill 2021,
approximately.

10. Personal opinion
We really liked doing this work and we have to
recognize that we would like to go and look
near.
We love London.
