Love can be both blissful and painful, as it quietly pierces one's heart like a woodpecker. True love is unconditional and involves risk, as setting one's heart out to catch another's is a gamble that could result in badly wounding one's heart. However, a heart that loses also learns to experience true unconditional love, and once love has pierced one's heart deeply, it can transmit abundance of love to the world. Therefore, while some may see love as a mistake, the author considers their love to be their favorite mistake.
