Day of the 7th
Month.
In the Hebrew it is called Yom Taruah or Day of Great (earth shattering)
Noise. The scriptures indicate that this is the day on which the
HaMaschiyach will return the second time.
This year the Feast of the Great Noise is between
September 13th
evening till September 14th
evening
(Thursday)
The Ruakh of
has spoken through me,
And His word is on my tongue
Yeshayahu 55:6
'Seek Yi
HVVe
H when He is to be found'
There is an open window now for us to return to Yi
HVVe
H and repent.
But a grace period, by definition,
does not last forever.
But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the Shofar, and
the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person
from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I
require at the watchman's hand.
The Day of Trumpets is also known as, “The Day of Remembrance”,
Judgment Day, and the start of the Ten Days of Penitence. It is a day of
remembering the beginning of the world, and a commemoration of the
dead (who will be resurrected on that day). This is why, with the Day of
Atonement, the Day of Trumpets is one of the two great solemn sacred
days. Thus a day of judgment and a new beginning. Not merely the
anniversary of creation, it is a renewal of creation (the time everything
will be made new, at the HaMaschiyach's return).
Beginning on the Day of Trumpets and ending on the Day of Atonement
is what called the
Aseret Yemei Teshuva
(Ten Days of Penitence,)
or
Yamim Noraim
"Days of Awe,"
Dedicated to the inner cleansing of the human.
They are also known as "Days of Return," because we are to examine
ourselves and return to Yi
HVVe
H.
On day of Trumpets,
Yi
HVVe
H opens three books:
the first
containing the names of the righteous, who are in the book of life,
the second
contains the names of those irremediably wicked whose fate is death,
the third
book has the names of those in between, who have until Atonement
to determine their fates.
The weekly Sabbath between Trumpets and Atonement is known as
Sabbath Shubah
("return"), meaning "repentance Sabbath."
Shabbat Shuvah
Shabbat Shuvah ("Sabbath [of] Return") refers to the Shabbat that
occurs during the Ten Days of Repentance between Yom Teruah and
Yom Kippur. The Hebrew calendar is so designed that only one
Shabbat can occur between these dates. This Shabbat is named after
the first word of the Haftarah and literally means "Return!" It is
perhaps a play on, but not to be confused with, the word Teshuvah
(the word for "repentance") which is the motif of Ten Days of
Repentance.
Husha 14:1
Y’Isra’EL, return to Yi
HVVe
H your Elohi; for you have fallen down
because of your sin.
Husha 14:2
Take Words with you and return to Yi
HVVe
H. Tell Him, “Bear away all
our sin, and receive us well, so we offer the bulls of our lips. (prayers)
Bulls of our lips: the words mentioned earlier in the verse. With no
temple intact and being in exile, this is all Efrayim has available to
bring to YHVVH as an acceptable sacrifice.
Rom. 12:1-2.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of Yi
HVVe
H, to present
your bodies a living slaughter, kodesh, acceptable to Yi
HVVe
H, which
is your reasonable worship. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be
transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove
what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of Yi
HVVe
H.
This includes not bowing to the sun, moon or stars
Davariym 4;19
and otherwise, you will lift up your eyes and you will see the sun and
the moon and the stars and all the army of the skies, and you will be
driven out, and you will bend yourselves down to them, and you will
serve them, which YHWH your Elohiym distributed them to all the
people under all the skies,
when the sabbaths were first given to the nation Y’isra’el, YaH chose
manna from heaven to usher in the sabbath, today we ignore that
true at our peril
Husha 14:3
Ashshuwr can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say
any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones!’ for in You the
fatherless finds mercy.”
A horse: paralleling Ashur (Assyria), this is one of the things Y’Ishra’EL
tended to trust in (for military security) instead of Yi
HVVe
H.
Fatherless: the Northern Kingdom in particular, who until now had
forgotten who our ancestors were.
Mal’achi 4:5-6.
Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their mighty ones;
but we will walk in the Name of Yi
HVVe
H our Elohiym into the ages
and beyond. “In that Day,” says Yi
HVVe
H, “I will assemble that which is
lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I
have afflicted.
Husha 14:4
“I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for My anger is
turned away from him.
Freely: or voluntarily
Husha 14:5
I will be like the dew to Y’Ishra’EL He will blossom like the lily, [Songs
2:1] and send down his roots like Lebanon.
Dew: traditionally associated with the resurrection, but also with the
manna, which arrived when there was dew. The root word for “dew”
means “to cover over”. Lily: possibly narcissus or daffodil; a six-petalled
flower sometimes called the “rose of Sharon”, though it is not a rose.
Husha 14:6
His shoots will go forth, and His beauty will be like the olive tree, and
His fragrance like Lebanon.
Shoots will go forth: Since this is speaking of Efrayim, ( Brit-ish) it is an
allusion to Yaa’qov’s promise that Yoseyf’s branches would stride across
a wall.
Ber. 49:22
“Yahuwseph [increaser/adding] is a fruitful vine, (Rachel's son) a fruitful
vine by a spring. His branches run over the wall.
Splendor: majesty or vigor. The scent of Levanon would be the pleasant
fragrance of cedar trees.
Husha 14:7
Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom
like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon.
Under his shade: benefiting from the ways of Y’israel. Since the whole
passage is addressed to Y’israel, these others may be the “companions”
of the House of Y’Ishra’EL.
Yehezqel 37:16
You, son of Ath’am, take one stick, and write on it, For Yahuwdah, and
for the children of Y’Ishra’EL his companions: then take another stick, and
write on it, For Yowseph, the stick of Ephraiym, and for all the House of
Y’israel his companions:
Come back: to the Land, and to the Hebraic heritage.
The vine: Yhvvhsva said this is what He was.
Yahuwchanan 15:5
I AM the Vine. You are the branches (Nätsärim). He who remains in Me,
and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from Me you are not
able to do even one thing.
Husha 14:8
Ephrayim shall say, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer,
and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; from Me your fruit
is found.”
Idols: the most salient example that comes to mind is the crucifix. He
is a living tree to us; why do we need a dead one that focuses our
attention on a death that is no more? He will treat the House of
Yoseyf as if we had never gone astray, so why should He want a
reminder that He had to redeem us?
Zech. 10:6
“I will strengthen the House of Yahuwdah, and I will save the House
of Yowseph, and I will bring them back; or I will have mercy on them;
and they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I AM Yi
HVVe
H
their Eloha, and I will hear them.
Flourishing: luxuriant, ever-fresh, or green. There is no need for cut-
down trees to be in our homes anymore! Cypress: not the type that
grows in American swamps, but the tall, narrow evergreen that grows
in the Land of Y’Ishra’EL, the fruit has been attained from Me:
anything worthwhile that we have accomplished has been His gift
and at root His doing.
Eph. 2:8-10
Yi
HVVe
H saved you by His special favour when you believed. And
you can't take credit for this (belief); it is a gift from Yi
HVVe
H.
Deliverance is not a reward for the good things we have done
[works], so none of us can boast about it. For we are Yi
HVVe
H’s
workmanship/achievement. He has created us anew in haMashiyach
YHVVHsva
, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long
ago.
Husha 14:9
Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent,
that he may know them for the ways of Yi
HVVe
H are straightforward,
and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them.
Who is wise: anyone who asks can be.
Yaaqov/James 1:5
But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohi, who gives to all
liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him.
These things: the restoration and return of the House of Y’Ishra’EL.
Straightforward: level, correct, straight, fitting, proper, upright. Rebel:
revolt or overstep, i.e., leaving the path through either carelessness or
willfulness. The rebels are still affected by the Torah; they can still be
redeemed. Those who are wholly wicked will simply ignore it.
Micah 7:19-20
He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities
under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.
You will give truth to Yaaqob, and mercy to Abraham, as You have
sworn to our fathers from the days of old.
are read on this Sabbath. Repentance is the vehicle Yi
HVVe
H has
assigned through which man may reach Him. The only way to
approach Yi
HVVeH is through repentance. The value of repentance is
also emphasized by the Scriptual example of King HizquiYahu , who,
when upon his deathbed, pleaded with Yi
HVVe
H for mercy. Yi
HVVe
H
granted HizquiYahu 's request and extended his life for fifteen years,
II Kings 20:1-11.
In those days was HizquiYahu sick to death. YashaYahuw the prophet the
son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “Thus says Yi
HVVe
H, ‘Set your
house in order; for you shall die, and not live.’” Then he turned his face
to the wall, and prayed to Yi
HVVe
H, saying, “Remember now, Yi
HVVe
H, I
beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart,
and have done that which is good in Your sight.” HizquiYahu wept
bitterly. It happened, before YashaYahu had gone out into the middle
part of the city, that the Word of YiHVVe
H came to him, saying, “Turn
back, and tell HizquiYahu the prince of My people, ‘Thus says Yi
HVVe
H,
the EL of Dawiyd your father, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your
tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the
House of Yi
HVVe
H. I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you
and this city out of the hand of the sovereign of Ashuwr. I will defend
this city for My own sake, and for My servant Dawiyd’s sake.”’ YashaYahu
said, “Take a cake of figs. ”They took and laid it on the boil, and he
recovered. HizquiYahu said to YashaYahu, “What shall be the sign that
Yi
HVVe
H will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Yi
HVVe
H the
third day?” YashaYahuw said, “This shall be the sign to you from
Yi
HVVe
H, that Yi
HVVe
H will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the
shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?” HizquiYahu
answered, “It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay,
but let the shadow return backward ten steps.” YashaYahu the prophet
cried to Yi
HVVe
H; and He brought the shadow ten steps backward, by
which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz.
TRUE REPENTENCE
There are three areas of repentance in understanding:
thought,
speech,
action.
Unless one corrects his actions, he is not truly repentant.
Hoshia-na:
Baruch [is] haMelekh Y’Ishra’EL that cometh b'Shem Yi
HVVe
H.
All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled at YHVVHsva
first coming, and on the
exact day of the feast. All the Fall Feasts picture the Second Advent, and
the Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts, picturing rapture.
Galates 1:11
But I make known to you, Achim, that the Good News which was
proclaimed of me is to man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I
taught it, but by the revelation of YHVVhsva
HaMashiyach
The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the coronation of the
HaMashiyach, when he will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of
the "Day of Yi
HVVe
H ", which includes the tribulation. It is also time for
the bema judgment, or the judgement of the works of the righteous, and
judgement must begin at the house of YHVVH.
Ten Reasons Why Yi
HVVe
H Commanded Us to Keep the Day of
Trumpets,
Saadia Gaon
(892-942 A.D.)
10 days from the day of the shofar to the day of Atonement
The first reason:
Because this day is the beginning of creation, on which the Holy One
blessed be He, created the world and reigned over it. Just as is with kings
at the start of their reign -- trumpets and horns are blown in their
presence to make it known and to let it be heard in every place -- thus it
is when we designate the Creator, may He be blessed, as King on this
day, for Dawyid said: With trumpets and sound of the horn, shout ye
before the King, Yi
HVVe
H.
Tehillim 98:6.
With shofars and sound of the ram’s horn, make a joyful noise before the
Sovereign, Yi
HVVe
H.
The second reason:
Because the day of New Year is the first of the ten days of repentance,
the shofar is sounded on it to announce to us as one warns and says:
"Whosoever wants to repent -- let him repent; and if he does not, let him
reproach himself." Thus do the kings: first they warn the people of their
decrees; then if one violates a decree after the warning, his excuse is not
accepted.
The third reason:
To remind us of Mount Sinai, . . . The blare of the horn grew louder and
louder,
Shemot 19:19,
and the voice of the ram horn was walking and was very forceful,
Mosheh will speak and the Elohiym will answer him with the voice
Elohiym responded as a witness through a voice: Aramaic, "from before
Elohiym he was answered by a voice". A normal voice or breath grows
weaker as it progresses. This trumpet-like sound was, according to Ibriy
tradition, the words of the Towrah going out in all 70 languages to the
70 nations besides Y’Ishra’EL, but only Y’Ishra’EL chose to receive them.
The descendants who would later be dispersed throughout the whole
world stood here within their forefathers, and it was for their sake that
the nations were offered the Torah as well (cf. Romans 11). In deed of
deeds 2, traditionally on the anniversary of this date, the covenant was
renewed again (as Abraham's covenant was renewed here with
adaptations for the size of the nation now) with words in many
languages and tongues of fire. (See 20:18)
and that we should accept for ourselves the covenant that our ancestors
accepted for themselves, as they said we will do and obey,
shemot 24:7.
and he took the scroll of the covenant and he called it out in the ears of
the people, and they said, all which YHWH spoke, we will do and we will
hear,
(" I/We Do.")
The fourth reason:
To remind us of the words of the prophets that were compared to the
sound of the shofar, as it is said: Then whosoever heareth the sound of
the horn, and taketh not warning, if the sword come, and taketh him
away, his blood shall be upon his own head . . . whereas if he had taken
warning, he would have delivered his soul,
Yekezqal 33:4-5.
then whoever hears the sound of the shofar, and doesn’t take warning, if
the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.
[Borders: literally, extremities. Those whom others consider extreme are
often the ones who are best at guarding the territory, and this is done
best on its edges. They are usually not those known as leaders and rarely
popular, but like half the tribe of Menashe who were better at overseeing
the tribes who wanted to live east of the Yarden, Yi
HVVe
H positions
those who are best at the task where they will be most useful. These
texts are about Yom Teruach - the blowing of the Shofar of warning.]
Yekezqal 33:5
He heard the sound of the shofar and didn’t take warning; his blood shall
be on him; whereas if he had taken warning, [Take warning: or, receive
teaching, accept the light shone upon him, be admonished.] he would
have delivered his being.
The fifth reason:
To remind us of the destruction of the Temple . . . , O my soul, the sound
of the horn, the alarm of war,
YirmeYahu 4:19.
My belly! My belly! I am pained at my very heart; my heart is disquieted
in me; I can’t hold my peace; because you have heard, O my being, the
sound of the shofar, the alarm of war.
When we hear the sound of the shofar, we will ask Yi
HVVe
H to rebuild
the Temple.
The sixth reason:
To remind us of the binding of Yitzak who offered his life to Heaven. We
should also offer our lives for the sanctification of His Name, and thus we
will be remembered for good.
The seventh reason:
When we will hear the blowing of the shofar, we will be fearful, and we
will tremble, and we will humble ourselves before the Creator, for that is
the nature of the shofar -- it causes fear and trembling, as it is written:
Shall the horn be blown in a city and the people not tremble?
Amus 3:6.
If a shofar is sounded in a city, won't the people tremble with fear? If
there is a calamity in a city, shall not Yi
HVVe
H have done it?
Sounded: the particular term used refers to short, staccato notes that
signified an alarm due to an impending attack.
The eighth reason:
To recall the day of the great judgment and to be fearful of it, as it is
said: The great day of “ THE ALMIGHTY ONE” is near, it is near and
hasteth greatly . . . a day of the horn and alarm,
TsefanYaH 1:14-16.
The Great Day of Yi
HVVe
H is near. It is near, and hurries greatly, the Voice
of the Day of Yi
HVVe
H. The brave man cries there bitterly. That Day is a
day of wrath, a day of distress and dire straits, a day of trouble and ruin,
a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, a day of the
shofar and battle-alarm, against the fortified cities, and against the high
battlements. (Shofar points to Yom Kippur; battle-alarm to Yom Teruah)
The Length of That Day:
The Type:
Bereshiyth 8:14
and in the second month, in the twenty and seventh day to the month,
the land was dried out,
(The "flood" of destruction was on the earth for 370 days while Yi
HVVe
H's
people (Noakh and family) were safe in His ark.) [This was 370 days after
the flood began up to the time, they emerged from the ark ... or one
year and ten days, at that time—the same length as the interval between
one Feast of Trumpets until Yom Kippur the following year.] –
a 360 day year
YashaYahu 32:10
For a few days beyond a year you shall be troubled, (for a little more
than a year you complacent women; for the vintage shall fail. The harvest
won’t come. ...
YashaYahu 34:8
For Yi
HVVe
H has a Day of Vengeance, a Year of Recompense for the
cause of Tsiyown.
YashaYahu 34:9
Its [Edom's] streams shall be turned into tar, its dust into brimstone,
And its land shall become burning asphalt.
YashaYahu 34:10
It won’t be quenched night nor day. Its smoke shall ascend a long time.
From generation to generation, it shall lie waste. No one shall pass
through it forever and ever.
YashaYahu 34:11
But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it. The owl and the
raven shall dwell in it. Then He shall stretch the measuring line of chaos
over it, and the plumb line of emptiness [waste]. [Chaos: Heb., tohu.
Emptiness: or “waste”; Heb., bohu.
These two terms were used of what the earth became
(Bber 1:2)
after a cataclysmic judgment and just before being reconstituted for the
use of humanity][Battle-alarm: Heb, t’ruah, the term for the first day of
the seventh month.
(Lev. 23:24),
Though the people will rise like a lioness, he will lift himself up like a
lion, he will not lay down until he eats the prey, and the blood of the
drilled ones he will gulp,
this then will be the day when what is being described will fall in the
annual calendar.]
The ninth reason:
To remind us of the ingathering of the scattered ones of Y’Ishra’EL, that
we ardently desire, as it is said: And it shall come to pass in that day, that
a great horn shall be blown; and they shall come that were lost in the
land of Assyria . . . and they shall worship “ THE ALMIGHTY ONE “ in the
sacred mountain at Yerushaliyim,
YashaYahu 27:13.
It shall happen in That Day that a Great Shofar shall be blown; and those
who were perishing in the land of Ashshuwr, and those who were
outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim, shall come; and they shall worship
Yi
HVVe
H in the Qodesh Mountain at Yahrushalom.
Yirmeyahu 23:7-8
“Therefore, see, the days are coming,” declares Yi
HVVe
H, “when they shall
say no more, ‘As Yi
HVVe
H lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl
out of the land of Mitsrayim,’ but, ‘As Yi
HVVe
H lives who brought up and
led the seed of the house of Yisra’ĕl out of the land of the north and
from all the lands where I had driven them.’ And they shall dwell on their
own soil.”
Matt. 24:31
He shall send out His Messengers with the sound of the Great Shofar
[Day of Atonement], and they shall gather together His chosen ones
from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
[YashaYahu 11:12
He shall set up a Banner [Anointed] for the nations, and shall assemble
the outcasts of Y’Ishra’EL, and gather together the dispersed of
Yahuwdah from the four corners of the earth]
Deut. 30:4
If any of your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the heavens, from
there will YiHVVeH your El gather you, and from there He will bring you
back:
[this is the gathering of His living ones - the dead were raised 10 days
earlier at Yom Teruach]
(Note * 24:31:
The Great Shofar is blown on Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement), and
also in the introduction of, the Jubilee Year. - the dead are raised 10 days
earlier at the" " last shofar" - Day of Trumpets . (Torah and Testimony
clarified translation)]
Tehillim 50:3
Our Elohiym comes and does not keep silent. A fire devours before Him.
It is very stormy around Him.
Tehillim 50:4
He calls to the shemaya above, to the earth, that He may judge His
people:
Tehillim 50:5
“Gather My Set-apart ones together to Me, those who have made a
covenant with Me by slaughter.”
Zech 9:14-17 "
Yi
HVVe
H shall be seen over them [Yahuwdah & Ephriam]; and His arrow
shall go flash like lightning; and the Master Yi
HVVe
H shall blow the
trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. Yi
HVVe
H Master of
Armies shall defend them; and they shall destroy and overcome with
sling stones; and they shall drink, and roar as through wine; and they
shall be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar. Yi
HVVe
H their El
shall save them in that Day as the flock of His people; for they are like
the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over His Land. For how great is His
Goodness, and how great is His Beauty!"
[Yom Kippur deliverance!]
Great shofar: an element of Yom Kippur ceremonies. Perishing: or being
exterminated. Outcasts: those thrust out, or those banished. From what
follows, it is clear this is speaking about the Northern Kingdom.
The tenth reason:
To remind us of the resurrection of the dead and the belief in it, as it is
said: All ye inhabitants of the world, and ye dwellers on the earth, when
an ensign is lifted up on the mountains, see ye; and when the horn is
blown, hear ye,
YashaYahu 18:3.
All you inhabitants of the world, and you dwellers on the earth, when a
Banner is lifted up on the mountains, look! When the shofar is blown,
listen!
2 Cor 11:2
For I am jealous over you with jealousy of Elohiym: for I have espoused
you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to
HaMashiyach.
scripture
And I heard another voice from the One of the heavens, saying:
“Come ye out from within her, My people,
in order that ye may not co-participate in her sins, and in order that ye
may not receive from her blows [plagues],
Ok let us now understand how “ Yi
HVVe
H “ requires us to keep the Feast
days, as shown in his sacred calendar and according to His Laws, written
in scripture
Rom. 12:1-2.
Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of Yi
HVVe

your bodies a living slaughter, kodesh, acceptable to YiHVVeH, which is
your reasonable worship. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be

the spirits of all flesh! When one-man sins, are You wroth with all the
congregation?” And Yi

H spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Speak to the
congregation, saying, ‘Move away from around the tents of Qoraḥ,
Dathan, and Aḇiram.’ ” So Mosheh rose up and went to Dathan and
Aḇiram, and the elders of Yisra’ĕl followed him. And he spoke to the
congregation, saying, “Please turn away from the tents of these wrong
men! Do not touch whatever belongs to them, lest you be consumed in
all their sins.”

changed, in a moment (indivisible atom of time), in the twinkling of an
eye, at the last shofar [trump]. For the shofar will sound, and the dead
will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible
must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality.
and
1 Thess. 4:15-18
I can tell you this directly from Yi
HVVe
H that we who may survive and be
alive at the coming of Yi
HVVe
H will not rise to meet Him ahead of those
who are in their graves. Because our Master Yi
HVVe
H will Himself
descend from heaven with a mandate and with the voice of the Chief
Messenger and with the Qarna/trumpet/shofar of Elohi; and the dead
who are in Meshiakh will first arise. Then, we who survive and are alive
will be caught up in the cloud to meet our Master YiHVVeH in the air and
remain with Him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with
these words.
The Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) is the least understood of all the
Feast Days.
There are three main scriptures that talk about this Feast Day directly:
Leviticus 23:23-24;
YiHVVeH spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Speak to the children of Ishra’al,
saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a
solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a Set-apart
convocation.
Seventh month: This day is often called Rosh ha Shanah (the head of the
year), but only on the civil calendar; Yi
HVVe
H changed Aviv to the first
month for the Sacred festival calendar. The biblical name for this day is
the Feast of Trumpets, or the Day of the Awakening Blast. This puts the
focus on the heavenly rather than the earthly. Reminder: a warning that
the Day of Judgment is about to come after only nine more days.
Awakening blast: or shout, ear-splitting acclamation. This day has long
been associated with the resurrection of the dead in Hebrew tradition.
One of its events is called the "last trump", and Sha'ul (Paul) tells us that
at that time indeed the dead will be raised, so it is a reminder of this as
well, to give us hope.
(Tehillim 98:6)
Leviticus 23:25;
You shall do no regular work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire
to
YiHVVeH
Work of service: the normal Temple ceremonies which continued every
sabbath and on the other festivals; on this day, the focus is completely
on
blowing the trumpets and this one offering. It may correlate with our
works being tested by fire so they will survive on the great Day of
Judgment "Bring...fire": in the original Hebrew, there were no vowel
points, and the word for "fire offering" is spelled exactly like "woman" or
"wife", so on the deeper level it tells us that when we suppress our own
appetites, we can bring
YiHVVeH a bride, because when we get our eyes off ourselves, we can
become one body.
Numbers 29:1;
“‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a
set apart convocation; you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing
of shofars to you.
Heb., Yom T'ruah. On the surface, this passage does not tell us the
purpose of the trumpet-blasts, but the term encompasses everything
from a shout of joy to a signal to wake up.
Yoal 3:9 links this
awakening to mighty men preparing for war.
Psalm 57:7-12
says the reason to wake up is to praise and honour YiHVVeH. This is the
force behind battles being won.
(2 Chron. 20:22)
Tehillim 59:5
speaks of YiHVVeH waking up to judge the nations.
YashaYâhu 52
links the call to awake with Tzion finally
being rid of uncleanness and being freed from captivity.
Seventh:
symbolic of completion, but the cardinal term in Hebrew also signifies
"an oath". Since this day begins a time of intense repentance, it is a time
to let Scripture show us where we have been asleep and how to shake
off the slumber and storm the strongholds with the promise to do better,
then how to actually carry it out. the seventh month can also be read as
"a renewal of an oath". Thus this is one of the purposes of the day of
trumpet-blasts.
This sounds sweet and spiritual, but Hebraic perspective requires that we
look for specifics:
Which oath is to be renewed on this day?
We can find it in
Deut. 5:24-27
and also in
Exodus 24:7.
It was the promise, upon hearing the commandments of Yâh, to listen
to them and carry them out. In the second-cited instance it was the oath
to obey and then to listen--so the complete cycle of response to which
we obligated ourselves is to listen, to do, and to listen again to what we
learn from the doing--for His commands are not just hoops to jump
through but handles He gives us on how to know Him better and have a
more complete relationship with Him. And "first of the month" can also
literally read "united for renewal". Seven also symbolizes completeness,
so we could read "a complete renewal". So this renewal is as if we were
going back to Mt. Sinai, yet this time it is not only the mediator who
goes up to listen to Yâh, but the whole congregation in unity. It was one
of the saddest days in our history when the people Yâh had gone to
such lengths to redeem did not want to draw near to Him. They were
afraid to hear from Him directly, for if we hear from Him directly, we
cannot use the excuse that it was mediated through a man's
understanding. This renewal is a reminder of the trumpet-blast at Sinai
which signalled the proper time to draw near.
(Ex. 19:11-13)
Once we saw that Moshe had not been consumed, we were more willing
to do so. But that time He provided the sound of the trump; this time we
are to furnish the sound in order to renew our oath. Looking forward, the
trumpet-blast is a foreshadowing of the resurrection of the dead
(YeshaYâhu 26:19)
The renewal will not be truly complete until the dead are resurrected, but
the resurrection has begun in Meshiakh, who became the "first fruits of
the dead" on the Feast of First fruits.
(1 Cor. 15:23)
Indeed, YiHVVeH fulfilled each of the first series of festivals in the earlier
part of the year on their very day. Since trumpets and the resurrection of
the dead accompany his return
(1 Thess. 4:16-17),
it appears that His return will be on a Yom T'ruah.
With each year his coming draws nearer, and the more we focus on
freeing ourselves from the aspects of death (selfishness, works of
darkness, etc.) by laying down ourselves in love for one another
(Rom. 13:8ff),
the sooner we will be ready
(Luke 12:40),
and thus the sooner He can return
(2 Kefa/Peter 3:12).
Let this be your prayer too
shalowm

and immediately their eyes received sight, and they followed him.

Yom Teruah (day of the loud noise) 2023.docx

  • 1. on the 1st Day of the 7th Month. In the Hebrew it is called Yom Taruah or Day of Great (earth shattering) Noise. The scriptures indicate that this is the day on which the HaMaschiyach will return the second time. This year the Feast of the Great Noise is between September 13th evening till September 14th evening (Thursday) The Ruakh of has spoken through me, And His word is on my tongue
  • 2. Yeshayahu 55:6 'Seek Yi HVVe H when He is to be found' There is an open window now for us to return to Yi HVVe H and repent. But a grace period, by definition, does not last forever. But if the watchman see the sword come, and blow not the Shofar, and the people be not warned; if the sword come, and take [any] person from among them, he is taken away in his iniquity; but his blood will I require at the watchman's hand. The Day of Trumpets is also known as, “The Day of Remembrance”, Judgment Day, and the start of the Ten Days of Penitence. It is a day of remembering the beginning of the world, and a commemoration of the dead (who will be resurrected on that day). This is why, with the Day of Atonement, the Day of Trumpets is one of the two great solemn sacred days. Thus a day of judgment and a new beginning. Not merely the anniversary of creation, it is a renewal of creation (the time everything will be made new, at the HaMaschiyach's return). Beginning on the Day of Trumpets and ending on the Day of Atonement is what called the Aseret Yemei Teshuva (Ten Days of Penitence,) or Yamim Noraim "Days of Awe," Dedicated to the inner cleansing of the human.
  • 3. They are also known as "Days of Return," because we are to examine ourselves and return to Yi HVVe H. On day of Trumpets, Yi HVVe H opens three books: the first containing the names of the righteous, who are in the book of life, the second contains the names of those irremediably wicked whose fate is death, the third book has the names of those in between, who have until Atonement to determine their fates. The weekly Sabbath between Trumpets and Atonement is known as Sabbath Shubah ("return"), meaning "repentance Sabbath." Shabbat Shuvah Shabbat Shuvah ("Sabbath [of] Return") refers to the Shabbat that occurs during the Ten Days of Repentance between Yom Teruah and Yom Kippur. The Hebrew calendar is so designed that only one Shabbat can occur between these dates. This Shabbat is named after the first word of the Haftarah and literally means "Return!" It is perhaps a play on, but not to be confused with, the word Teshuvah (the word for "repentance") which is the motif of Ten Days of Repentance. Husha 14:1
  • 4. Y’Isra’EL, return to Yi HVVe H your Elohi; for you have fallen down because of your sin. Husha 14:2 Take Words with you and return to Yi HVVe H. Tell Him, “Bear away all our sin, and receive us well, so we offer the bulls of our lips. (prayers) Bulls of our lips: the words mentioned earlier in the verse. With no temple intact and being in exile, this is all Efrayim has available to bring to YHVVH as an acceptable sacrifice. Rom. 12:1-2. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of Yi HVVe H, to present your bodies a living slaughter, kodesh, acceptable to Yi HVVe H, which is your reasonable worship. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of Yi HVVe H. This includes not bowing to the sun, moon or stars Davariym 4;19 and otherwise, you will lift up your eyes and you will see the sun and the moon and the stars and all the army of the skies, and you will be driven out, and you will bend yourselves down to them, and you will serve them, which YHWH your Elohiym distributed them to all the people under all the skies, when the sabbaths were first given to the nation Y’isra’el, YaH chose manna from heaven to usher in the sabbath, today we ignore that true at our peril
  • 5. Husha 14:3 Ashshuwr can’t save us. We won’t ride on horses; neither will we say any more to the work of our hands, ‘Our mighty ones!’ for in You the fatherless finds mercy.” A horse: paralleling Ashur (Assyria), this is one of the things Y’Ishra’EL tended to trust in (for military security) instead of Yi HVVe H. Fatherless: the Northern Kingdom in particular, who until now had forgotten who our ancestors were. Mal’achi 4:5-6. Indeed all the nations may walk in the name of their mighty ones; but we will walk in the Name of Yi HVVe H our Elohiym into the ages and beyond. “In that Day,” says Yi HVVe H, “I will assemble that which is lame, and I will gather that which is driven away, and that which I have afflicted. Husha 14:4 “I will heal their waywardness. I will love them freely; for My anger is turned away from him. Freely: or voluntarily Husha 14:5 I will be like the dew to Y’Ishra’EL He will blossom like the lily, [Songs 2:1] and send down his roots like Lebanon. Dew: traditionally associated with the resurrection, but also with the manna, which arrived when there was dew. The root word for “dew” means “to cover over”. Lily: possibly narcissus or daffodil; a six-petalled flower sometimes called the “rose of Sharon”, though it is not a rose.
  • 6. Husha 14:6 His shoots will go forth, and His beauty will be like the olive tree, and His fragrance like Lebanon. Shoots will go forth: Since this is speaking of Efrayim, ( Brit-ish) it is an allusion to Yaa’qov’s promise that Yoseyf’s branches would stride across a wall. Ber. 49:22 “Yahuwseph [increaser/adding] is a fruitful vine, (Rachel's son) a fruitful vine by a spring. His branches run over the wall. Splendor: majesty or vigor. The scent of Levanon would be the pleasant fragrance of cedar trees. Husha 14:7 Men will dwell in his shade. They will revive like the grain, and blossom like the vine. Their fragrance will be like the wine of Lebanon. Under his shade: benefiting from the ways of Y’israel. Since the whole passage is addressed to Y’israel, these others may be the “companions” of the House of Y’Ishra’EL. Yehezqel 37:16 You, son of Ath’am, take one stick, and write on it, For Yahuwdah, and for the children of Y’Ishra’EL his companions: then take another stick, and write on it, For Yowseph, the stick of Ephraiym, and for all the House of Y’israel his companions: Come back: to the Land, and to the Hebraic heritage. The vine: Yhvvhsva said this is what He was. Yahuwchanan 15:5
  • 7. I AM the Vine. You are the branches (Nätsärim). He who remains in Me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from Me you are not able to do even one thing. Husha 14:8 Ephrayim shall say, what have I to do any more with idols? I answer, and will take care of him. I am like a green fir tree; from Me your fruit is found.” Idols: the most salient example that comes to mind is the crucifix. He is a living tree to us; why do we need a dead one that focuses our attention on a death that is no more? He will treat the House of Yoseyf as if we had never gone astray, so why should He want a reminder that He had to redeem us? Zech. 10:6 “I will strengthen the House of Yahuwdah, and I will save the House of Yowseph, and I will bring them back; or I will have mercy on them; and they will be as though I had not cast them off: for I AM Yi HVVe H their Eloha, and I will hear them. Flourishing: luxuriant, ever-fresh, or green. There is no need for cut- down trees to be in our homes anymore! Cypress: not the type that grows in American swamps, but the tall, narrow evergreen that grows in the Land of Y’Ishra’EL, the fruit has been attained from Me: anything worthwhile that we have accomplished has been His gift and at root His doing. Eph. 2:8-10 Yi HVVe H saved you by His special favour when you believed. And you can't take credit for this (belief); it is a gift from Yi HVVe H. Deliverance is not a reward for the good things we have done
  • 8. [works], so none of us can boast about it. For we are Yi HVVe H’s workmanship/achievement. He has created us anew in haMashiyach YHVVHsva , so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. Husha 14:9 Who is wise, that he may understand these things? Who is prudent, that he may know them for the ways of Yi HVVe H are straightforward, and the righteous walk in them; But the rebellious stumble in them. Who is wise: anyone who asks can be. Yaaqov/James 1:5 But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of Elohi, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him. These things: the restoration and return of the House of Y’Ishra’EL. Straightforward: level, correct, straight, fitting, proper, upright. Rebel: revolt or overstep, i.e., leaving the path through either carelessness or willfulness. The rebels are still affected by the Torah; they can still be redeemed. Those who are wholly wicked will simply ignore it. Micah 7:19-20 He will again have compassion on us. He will tread our iniquities under foot; and you will cast all their sins into the depths of the sea. You will give truth to Yaaqob, and mercy to Abraham, as You have sworn to our fathers from the days of old. are read on this Sabbath. Repentance is the vehicle Yi HVVe H has assigned through which man may reach Him. The only way to approach Yi HVVeH is through repentance. The value of repentance is also emphasized by the Scriptual example of King HizquiYahu , who,
  • 9. when upon his deathbed, pleaded with Yi HVVe H for mercy. Yi HVVe H granted HizquiYahu 's request and extended his life for fifteen years, II Kings 20:1-11. In those days was HizquiYahu sick to death. YashaYahuw the prophet the son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, “Thus says Yi HVVe H, ‘Set your house in order; for you shall die, and not live.’” Then he turned his face to the wall, and prayed to Yi HVVe H, saying, “Remember now, Yi HVVe H, I beg you, how I have walked before you in truth and with a perfect heart, and have done that which is good in Your sight.” HizquiYahu wept bitterly. It happened, before YashaYahu had gone out into the middle part of the city, that the Word of YiHVVe H came to him, saying, “Turn back, and tell HizquiYahu the prince of My people, ‘Thus says Yi HVVe H, the EL of Dawiyd your father, “I have heard your prayer. I have seen your tears. Behold, I will heal you. On the third day, you shall go up to the House of Yi HVVe H. I will add to your days fifteen years. I will deliver you and this city out of the hand of the sovereign of Ashuwr. I will defend this city for My own sake, and for My servant Dawiyd’s sake.”’ YashaYahu said, “Take a cake of figs. ”They took and laid it on the boil, and he recovered. HizquiYahu said to YashaYahu, “What shall be the sign that Yi HVVe H will heal me, and that I shall go up to the house of Yi HVVe H the third day?” YashaYahuw said, “This shall be the sign to you from Yi HVVe H, that Yi HVVe H will do the thing that He has spoken: shall the shadow go forward ten steps, or go back ten steps?” HizquiYahu answered, “It is a light thing for the shadow to go forward ten steps. Nay, but let the shadow return backward ten steps.” YashaYahu the prophet cried to Yi HVVe H; and He brought the shadow ten steps backward, by which it had gone down on the dial of Ahaz. TRUE REPENTENCE There are three areas of repentance in understanding: thought,
  • 10. speech, action. Unless one corrects his actions, he is not truly repentant. Hoshia-na: Baruch [is] haMelekh Y’Ishra’EL that cometh b'Shem Yi HVVe H. All the Spring Feasts were fulfilled at YHVVHsva first coming, and on the exact day of the feast. All the Fall Feasts picture the Second Advent, and the Feast of Trumpets is the first of the fall feasts, picturing rapture. Galates 1:11 But I make known to you, Achim, that the Good News which was proclaimed of me is to man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of YHVVhsva HaMashiyach The Feast of Trumpets is also known as the coronation of the HaMashiyach, when he will start reigning as king, thus the beginning of the "Day of Yi HVVe H ", which includes the tribulation. It is also time for the bema judgment, or the judgement of the works of the righteous, and judgement must begin at the house of YHVVH. Ten Reasons Why Yi HVVe H Commanded Us to Keep the Day of Trumpets, Saadia Gaon (892-942 A.D.) 10 days from the day of the shofar to the day of Atonement
  • 11. The first reason: Because this day is the beginning of creation, on which the Holy One blessed be He, created the world and reigned over it. Just as is with kings at the start of their reign -- trumpets and horns are blown in their presence to make it known and to let it be heard in every place -- thus it is when we designate the Creator, may He be blessed, as King on this day, for Dawyid said: With trumpets and sound of the horn, shout ye before the King, Yi HVVe H. Tehillim 98:6. With shofars and sound of the ram’s horn, make a joyful noise before the Sovereign, Yi HVVe H. The second reason: Because the day of New Year is the first of the ten days of repentance, the shofar is sounded on it to announce to us as one warns and says: "Whosoever wants to repent -- let him repent; and if he does not, let him reproach himself." Thus do the kings: first they warn the people of their decrees; then if one violates a decree after the warning, his excuse is not accepted. The third reason: To remind us of Mount Sinai, . . . The blare of the horn grew louder and louder, Shemot 19:19, and the voice of the ram horn was walking and was very forceful, Mosheh will speak and the Elohiym will answer him with the voice
  • 12. Elohiym responded as a witness through a voice: Aramaic, "from before Elohiym he was answered by a voice". A normal voice or breath grows weaker as it progresses. This trumpet-like sound was, according to Ibriy tradition, the words of the Towrah going out in all 70 languages to the 70 nations besides Y’Ishra’EL, but only Y’Ishra’EL chose to receive them. The descendants who would later be dispersed throughout the whole world stood here within their forefathers, and it was for their sake that the nations were offered the Torah as well (cf. Romans 11). In deed of deeds 2, traditionally on the anniversary of this date, the covenant was renewed again (as Abraham's covenant was renewed here with adaptations for the size of the nation now) with words in many languages and tongues of fire. (See 20:18) and that we should accept for ourselves the covenant that our ancestors accepted for themselves, as they said we will do and obey, shemot 24:7. and he took the scroll of the covenant and he called it out in the ears of the people, and they said, all which YHWH spoke, we will do and we will hear, (" I/We Do.") The fourth reason: To remind us of the words of the prophets that were compared to the sound of the shofar, as it is said: Then whosoever heareth the sound of the horn, and taketh not warning, if the sword come, and taketh him away, his blood shall be upon his own head . . . whereas if he had taken warning, he would have delivered his soul, Yekezqal 33:4-5. then whoever hears the sound of the shofar, and doesn’t take warning, if the sword come, and take him away, his blood shall be on his own head.
  • 13. [Borders: literally, extremities. Those whom others consider extreme are often the ones who are best at guarding the territory, and this is done best on its edges. They are usually not those known as leaders and rarely popular, but like half the tribe of Menashe who were better at overseeing the tribes who wanted to live east of the Yarden, Yi HVVe H positions those who are best at the task where they will be most useful. These texts are about Yom Teruach - the blowing of the Shofar of warning.] Yekezqal 33:5 He heard the sound of the shofar and didn’t take warning; his blood shall be on him; whereas if he had taken warning, [Take warning: or, receive teaching, accept the light shone upon him, be admonished.] he would have delivered his being. The fifth reason: To remind us of the destruction of the Temple . . . , O my soul, the sound of the horn, the alarm of war, YirmeYahu 4:19. My belly! My belly! I am pained at my very heart; my heart is disquieted in me; I can’t hold my peace; because you have heard, O my being, the sound of the shofar, the alarm of war. When we hear the sound of the shofar, we will ask Yi HVVe H to rebuild the Temple. The sixth reason: To remind us of the binding of Yitzak who offered his life to Heaven. We should also offer our lives for the sanctification of His Name, and thus we will be remembered for good. The seventh reason:
  • 14. When we will hear the blowing of the shofar, we will be fearful, and we will tremble, and we will humble ourselves before the Creator, for that is the nature of the shofar -- it causes fear and trembling, as it is written: Shall the horn be blown in a city and the people not tremble? Amus 3:6. If a shofar is sounded in a city, won't the people tremble with fear? If there is a calamity in a city, shall not Yi HVVe H have done it? Sounded: the particular term used refers to short, staccato notes that signified an alarm due to an impending attack. The eighth reason: To recall the day of the great judgment and to be fearful of it, as it is said: The great day of “ THE ALMIGHTY ONE” is near, it is near and hasteth greatly . . . a day of the horn and alarm, TsefanYaH 1:14-16. The Great Day of Yi HVVe H is near. It is near, and hurries greatly, the Voice of the Day of Yi HVVe H. The brave man cries there bitterly. That Day is a day of wrath, a day of distress and dire straits, a day of trouble and ruin, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and blackness, a day of the shofar and battle-alarm, against the fortified cities, and against the high battlements. (Shofar points to Yom Kippur; battle-alarm to Yom Teruah) The Length of That Day: The Type: Bereshiyth 8:14
  • 15. and in the second month, in the twenty and seventh day to the month, the land was dried out, (The "flood" of destruction was on the earth for 370 days while Yi HVVe H's people (Noakh and family) were safe in His ark.) [This was 370 days after the flood began up to the time, they emerged from the ark ... or one year and ten days, at that time—the same length as the interval between one Feast of Trumpets until Yom Kippur the following year.] – a 360 day year YashaYahu 32:10 For a few days beyond a year you shall be troubled, (for a little more than a year you complacent women; for the vintage shall fail. The harvest won’t come. ... YashaYahu 34:8 For Yi HVVe H has a Day of Vengeance, a Year of Recompense for the cause of Tsiyown. YashaYahu 34:9 Its [Edom's] streams shall be turned into tar, its dust into brimstone, And its land shall become burning asphalt. YashaYahu 34:10 It won’t be quenched night nor day. Its smoke shall ascend a long time. From generation to generation, it shall lie waste. No one shall pass through it forever and ever. YashaYahu 34:11 But the pelican and the porcupine shall possess it. The owl and the raven shall dwell in it. Then He shall stretch the measuring line of chaos over it, and the plumb line of emptiness [waste]. [Chaos: Heb., tohu. Emptiness: or “waste”; Heb., bohu.

These two terms were used of what the earth became (Bber 1:2) after a cataclysmic judgment and just before being reconstituted for the use of humanity][Battle-alarm: Heb, t’ruah, the term for the first day of the seventh month. (Lev. 23:24), Though the people will rise like a lioness, he will lift himself up like a lion, he will not lay down until he eats the prey, and the blood of the drilled ones he will gulp, this then will be the day when what is being described will fall in the annual calendar.] The ninth reason: To remind us of the ingathering of the scattered ones of Y’Ishra’EL, that we ardently desire, as it is said: And it shall come to pass in that day, that a great horn shall be blown; and they shall come that were lost in the land of Assyria . . . and they shall worship “ THE ALMIGHTY ONE “ in the sacred mountain at Yerushaliyim, YashaYahu 27:13. It shall happen in That Day that a Great Shofar shall be blown; and those who were perishing in the land of Ashshuwr, and those who were outcasts in the land of Mitsrayim, shall come; and they shall worship Yi HVVe H in the Qodesh Mountain at Yahrushalom. Yirmeyahu 23:7-8 “Therefore, see, the days are coming,” declares Yi HVVe H, “when they shall say no more, ‘As Yi HVVe H lives who brought up the children of Yisra’ĕl out of the land of Mitsrayim,’ but, ‘As Yi HVVe H lives who brought up and led the seed of the house of Yisra’ĕl out of the land of the north and

[YashaYahu 11:12 He shall set up a Banner [Anointed] for the nations, and shall assemble the outcasts of Y’Ishra’EL, and gather together the dispersed of Yahuwdah from the four corners of the earth] Deut. 30:4 If any of your outcasts are in the uttermost parts of the heavens, from there will YiHVVeH your El gather you, and from there He will bring you back: [this is the gathering of His living ones - the dead were raised 10 days earlier at Yom Teruach] (Note * 24:31: The Great Shofar is blown on Yom Kippur (The Day of Atonement), and also in the introduction of, the Jubilee Year. - the dead are raised 10 days earlier at the" " last shofar" - Day of Trumpets . Yi HVVe H Master of Armies shall defend them; and they shall destroy and overcome with sling stones; and they shall drink, and roar as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, like the corners of the altar. Yi HVVe H their El shall save them in that Day as the flock of His people; for they are like the jewels of a crown, lifted on high over His Land. For how great is His Goodness, and how great is His Beauty!" [Yom Kippur deliverance!] Great shofar: an element of Yom Kippur ceremonies. Perishing: or being exterminated. Outcasts: those thrust out, or those banished. From what follows, it is clear this is speaking about the Northern Kingdom. The tenth reason: To remind us of the resurrection of the dead and the belief in it, as it is said: All ye inhabitants of the world, and ye dwellers on the earth, when
  • 19. an ensign is lifted up on the mountains, see ye; and when the horn is blown, hear ye, YashaYahu 18:3. All you inhabitants of the world, and you dwellers on the earth, when a Banner is lifted up on the mountains, look! When the shofar is blown, listen! 2 Cor 11:2 For I am jealous over you with jealousy of Elohiym: for I have espoused you to one husband, that I may present [you as] a chaste virgin to HaMashiyach. scripture And I heard another voice from the One of the heavens, saying: “Come ye out from within her, My people, in order that ye may not co-participate in her sins, and in order that ye may not receive from her blows [plagues], Ok let us now understand how “ Yi HVVe H “ requires us to keep the Feast days, as shown in his sacred calendar and according to His Laws, written in scripture Rom. 12:1-2. Therefore, I urge you, brothers, by the mercies of Yi HVVe H, to present your bodies a living slaughter, kodesh, acceptable to YiHVVeH, which is your reasonable worship. Don’t be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well pleasing, and perfect will of Yi HVVe H.

When one-man sins, are You wroth with all the congregation?” And Yi HVVe H spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Speak to the congregation, saying, ‘Move away from around the tents of Qoraḥ, Dathan, and Aḇiram.’ ” So Mosheh rose up and went to Dathan and Aḇiram, and the elders of Yisra’ĕl followed him. And he spoke to the congregation, saying, “Please turn away from the tents of these wrong men! Do not touch whatever belongs to them, lest you be consumed in all their sins.” Compare Yshá`Yâhu 52: 11 Turn aside! Turn aside! Let us remind ourselves again There are three areas of repentance in understanding: thought, speech, action. Unless one corrects his actions, he is not truly repentant.

Behold, I tell you a secret. We will not all sleep, but we will all be changed, in a moment (indivisible atom of time), in the twinkling of an eye, at the last shofar [trump]. For the shofar will sound, and the dead will be raised incorruptible, and we will be changed. For this corruptible must put on incorruption, and this mortal must put on immortality. and 1 Thess. 4:15-18 I can tell you this directly from Yi HVVe H that we who may survive and be alive at the coming of Yi HVVe H will not rise to meet Him ahead of those who are in their graves. Because our Master Yi HVVe H will Himself descend from heaven with a mandate and with the voice of the Chief Messenger and with the Qarna/trumpet/shofar of Elohi; and the dead who are in Meshiakh will first arise. Then, we who survive and are alive will be caught up in the cloud to meet our Master YiHVVeH in the air and remain with Him forever. So comfort and encourage each other with these words. The Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah) is the least understood of all the
  • 24. Feast Days. There are three main scriptures that talk about this Feast Day directly: Leviticus 23:23-24; YiHVVeH spoke to Mosheh, saying, “Speak to the children of Ishra’al, saying, ‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, shall be a solemn rest to you, a memorial of blowing of shofars, a Set-apart convocation. Seventh month: This day is often called Rosh ha Shanah (the head of the year), but only on the civil calendar; Yi HVVe H changed Aviv to the first month for the Sacred festival calendar. The biblical name for this day is the Feast of Trumpets, or the Day of the Awakening Blast. This puts the focus on the heavenly rather than the earthly. Reminder: a warning that the Day of Judgment is about to come after only nine more days. Awakening blast: or shout, ear-splitting acclamation. This day has long been associated with the resurrection of the dead in Hebrew tradition. One of its events is called the "last trump", and Sha'ul (Paul) tells us that at that time indeed the dead will be raised, so it is a reminder of this as well, to give us hope. (Tehillim 98:6) Leviticus 23:25; You shall do no regular work; and you shall offer an offering made by fire to YiHVVeH Work of service: the normal Temple ceremonies which continued every sabbath and on the other festivals; on this day, the focus is completely on
  • 25. blowing the trumpets and this one offering. It may correlate with our works being tested by fire so they will survive on the great Day of Judgment "Bring...fire": in the original Hebrew, there were no vowel points, and the word for "fire offering" is spelled exactly like "woman" or "wife", so on the deeper level it tells us that when we suppress our own appetites, we can bring YiHVVeH a bride, because when we get our eyes off ourselves, we can become one body. Numbers 29:1; “‘In the seventh month, on the first day of the month, you shall have a set apart convocation; you shall do no servile work: it is a day of blowing of shofars to you. Heb., Yom T'ruah. On the surface, this passage does not tell us the purpose of the trumpet-blasts, but the term encompasses everything from a shout of joy to a signal to wake up. Yoal 3:9 links this awakening to mighty men preparing for war. Psalm 57:7-12 says the reason to wake up is to praise and honour YiHVVeH. This is the force behind battles being won. (2 Chron. 20:22) Tehillim 59:5 speaks of YiHVVeH waking up to judge the nations. YashaYâhu 52
  • 26. links the call to awake with Tzion finally being rid of uncleanness and being freed from captivity. Seventh: symbolic of completion, but the cardinal term in Hebrew also signifies "an oath". Since this day begins a time of intense repentance, it is a time to let Scripture show us where we have been asleep and how to shake off the slumber and storm the strongholds with the promise to do better, then how to actually carry it out. the seventh month can also be read as "a renewal of an oath". Thus this is one of the purposes of the day of trumpet-blasts. This sounds sweet and spiritual, but Hebraic perspective requires that we look for specifics: Which oath is to be renewed on this day? We can find it in Deut. 5:24-27 and also in Exodus 24:7. It was the promise, upon hearing the commandments of Yâh, to listen to them and carry them out. In the second-cited instance it was the oath to obey and then to listen--so the complete cycle of response to which we obligated ourselves is to listen, to do, and to listen again to what we learn from the doing--for His commands are not just hoops to jump through but handles He gives us on how to know Him better and have a more complete relationship with Him. And "first of the month" can also literally read "united for renewal". Seven also symbolizes completeness, so we could read "a complete renewal". So this renewal is as if we were going back to Mt. Sinai, yet this time it is not only the mediator who
  • 27. goes up to listen to Yâh, but the whole congregation in unity. It was one of the saddest days in our history when the people Yâh had gone to such lengths to redeem did not want to draw near to Him. They were afraid to hear from Him directly, for if we hear from Him directly, we cannot use the excuse that it was mediated through a man's understanding. This renewal is a reminder of the trumpet-blast at Sinai which signalled the proper time to draw near. (Ex. 19:11-13) Once we saw that Moshe had not been consumed, we were more willing to do so. But that time He provided the sound of the trump; this time we are to furnish the sound in order to renew our oath. Looking forward, the trumpet-blast is a foreshadowing of the resurrection of the dead (YeshaYâhu 26:19) The renewal will not be truly complete until the dead are resurrected, but the resurrection has begun in Meshiakh, who became the "first fruits of the dead" on the Feast of First fruits. (1 Cor. 15:23) Indeed, YiHVVeH fulfilled each of the first series of festivals in the earlier part of the year on their very day. Since trumpets and the resurrection of the dead accompany his return (1 Thess. 4:16-17), it appears that His return will be on a Yom T'ruah. With each year his coming draws nearer, and the more we focus on freeing ourselves from the aspects of death (selfishness, works of darkness, etc.) by laying down ourselves in love for one another (Rom. 13:8ff),
