Core Competencies
Competency Rating with Feedback and Specific Examples
Reliability Meets Expectations
Michael is very reliable and meets all expectations placed upon him by me and the users.
Many of the projects I give to Michael requires a quick turnaround. He has handled all of
these unexpected projects accurately and met all established deadlines.
Specifically, I've tasked Michael with creating several detailed spreadsheets in Excel for
the disposition project. Each time he completed the task identified and added valuable
input to the process.
He adheres to his regular work schedule and has shown a willingness to adjust his
schedule to accommodate the completion of a task. He easily adapts to any changes to
priorities at whatever pace is required.
Professionalism Meets Expectations
Michael is professional and approaches any task he is assigned with a positive demeanor.
At times, I have needed to explain a process or identify a minor mistake that Michael
made. Every time we've discussed mistakes, he acknowledges the information received
and effectively incorporates the feedback into the final work product.
I have received numerous positive comments from users that Michael has supported.
These comments are consistent in their praise of his professionalism and positive support
to the team.
Communication Meets Expectations
Michael is a very good communicator because he is articulate and effective at conveying
his thoughts verbally and in writing. He listens to the directions he receives and is
comfortable seeking clarification if a process is unclear.
Each Team Member is required to complete a weekly task log that identifies progress
made on the daily workload. Michael consistently provides his report at the end of each
week incorporating the necessary level of detail required.
Teamwork Exceeds Expectations
Michael is an exceptional team member and consistently demonstrates a willingness to
support me, his fellow team members and the legal teams. He offers suggestions to team
members and even took the initiative to train a temporary records clerk.
A great example of Michael's team spirit is when his co-worker, Max Kleine, went on
vacation for several weeks. Michael did not hesitate or question the request for him to
support a legal team full-time during Max's absence. He took the time to make sure he
understood the expectations of the legal team while meeting the daily requirements of the
Records Department. Michael was expected to learn how to use software necessary to
support the team. He quickly grasped how to use this software to effectively complete
assignments given to him by the legal team.
I have no doubt that Michael will continue to demonstrate this exceptional display of
teamwork in the coming years.

Job Competencies
Competency Rating with Feedback and Specific Examples
Job Knowledge Exceeds Expectations
Michael has a firm grasp of the Department's function and objectives. He applies his
knowledge and understanding of the Department's and the Firm's policies and procedures
to effectively meet expectations.
Michael sets high standards for his work and has, on several occasions, sought out new
projects or assignments on his own. When learning new processes or systems, Michael
absorbs the information quickly and accurately implements what he has learned.
A great example of Michael's ability to incorporate newly learned skills is how quickly he
has learned the process we follow when a lawyer leaves the Firm. After I provided training,
Michael has been able to process the departure reports and generate an email to the
lawyer with no mistakes. His ability to learn this process has heightened my confidence
in his abilities and I am now training him to handling the meeting, follow-up and aftermath
of the entire departure process. I have every confidence that Michael will continue to
demonstrate a high degree of adaptability to incorporate and implement anything he
learns.
Work Quality Meets Expectations
Michael brings a high degree of focus to any assignment he is given to make sure the end
result is accurate and meets the expectations of the requestor. His work product is further
enhanced by his willingness to seek guidance and ask questions when necessary.
Michael has demonstrated good judgement when handling assigned projects. He does not
require constant follow-up and supervision to keep projects moving and on target.
When I have needed Michael's assistance with a chart or collecting information, he always
delivers the expected work product and even offer's suggestions to improve content. I am
confident in Michael's ability to provide accurate work product and look forward to
expanding his skill set in other areas of the department.
Organization Meets Expectations
Michael maintains an organized approach to his work and demonstrates his ability to
focus on multiple projects when necessary. As indicated, he never hesitates to ask
questions or express his concerns to make sure everyone is on the same page.
