Design and Fabrication of a Recreational Human-Powered Vehicleinventionjournals
Human-powered vehicle (HPV) is often the only type of available transport that is underdeveloped and commonly unavailable in mass production. In many cases, it is acustom madevehicle for recreational and only few units are produced due to unobtainable off-the-shelf parts. This paper presents a modest design and development of human powered vehicle for recreational purpose. The basic constraints of the design are recumbent type of seat and wheel base and track sizes are 1.5 m and 1.0 m respectively. Commercial computer aided design (CAD) software is used for drawing and design. Stress analysis is performed on the conceptual design with possible loads and constraints. Available off-the-shelf materials and parts are used and assembled in the fabrication of the HPV to demonstrate the design for manufacture (DFM) practices. The final product is tested for basic functionality as HPV.
Improved Iris Verification System
Basma M.Almezgagi, M. A. Wahby Shalaby, Hesham N. Elmahdy Faculty of Computers and Information, Cairo University, Egypt.
This project aims to provide Mobile App assisted, smart parking system, fit for usage in smart cities and places with crowded parking facilities. The parking space is watched by an array of cameras (any camera can be used, so using already installed security cameras means that the system, in most cases, won’t require any extra costs) to watch the parking space. A computer vision software will be fed with camera stream and will be able to determine which parking lots are occupied. The info is fed into a database. Users will use a mobile app which connects to the same database to enquiry about available parking slots, this making it easier and faster to find a parking place.

Car-pedestrian accidents account for a considerable number of automobile accidents in industrialized countries. Head injury continues to be more concerned in Automobile impacts.
Because the head is the most seriously injured part in many collisions including in pedestrian automobile collisions. Head injuries are the most common cause of pedestrian deaths in car to pedestrian collisions.
Crash Analysis of Front under Run Protection Device using Finite Element Anal...IOSR Journals
Under-running of passenger vehicles is one of the important parameters to be considered during
design and development of truck chassis. Front Under-run Protection Device (FUPD) plays an important role
in avoiding under-running of vehicles from front side of a truck. An explicit finite element software Altair
Radio's is used in FUPD analysis for impact loading. The deformation of FUPD bar and plastic strains in
FUPD components are determined in the impact analysis for predicting failure of the system to meet the
compliance requirements as per IS 14812-2005. Additionally, failure analysis of the FUPD attachment points
with chassis is determined. Physical testing can be reduced significantly with this approach which ultimately
reduces the total cycle time as well as the cost involved in product development.
The AIRCC's International Journal of Computer Science and Information Technology (IJCSIT) is devoted to fields of Computer Science and Information Systems. The IJCSIT is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published in electronic form as well as print form. The mission of this journal is to publish original contributions in its field in order to propagate knowledge amongst its readers and to be a reference publication.

Buying a car entails a cost, not counting the day to day high price tag of gasoline. People are looking for
viable means of transportation that is cost-effective and can move its way through traffic faster. In the
Philippines, motorcycle was the answer to most people transportation needs. With the increasing number of
a motorcycle rider in the Philippines safety is the utmost concern. Today technology plays a huge role on
how this safety can be assured. We now see advances in connected devices. Devices can sense its
surrounding through sensor attach to it. With this in mind, this study focuses on the development of a
wearable device named Smart Motorcycle Helmet or simply Smart Helmet, whose main objective is to help
motorcycle rider in times of emergency. Utilizing sensors such as alcohol level detector, crash/impact
sensor, Internet connection thru 3G, accelerometer, Short Message Service (SMS) and cloud computing
infrastructure connected to a Raspberry Pi Zero-W and integrating a separate Arduino board for the antitheft tracking module is used to develop the propose Internet-of Things (IoT) device.
