Xue Yanqun was born in 1953 in Dalian, China. He graduated from Lu Xun Academy of Fine Art in Shenyang in 1981 and later received his Master of Fine Arts degree in 1989. He has had his works shown in over 200 exhibitions in China and overseas since 1984, winning several medals and honors. More than 220 of his oil paintings are in the collections of the Chinese National Art Gallery and other galleries and private collectors.
