Dunes. Designed by Scotsman David McLay Kidd,
the course is perched on a bluff high above the
Pacific Ocean. Bandon Dunes unfolds along
pristine native dunes where expansive ocean
views are revealed on nearly every hole. The
course is completely natural and routed through
an environment of indigenous vegetation. Beyond
breathtaking scenery lies the game of golf in its

It doesn’t take long to get comfortable at Bandon Dunes.
Our overnight accommodation provides a refuge of relative

Located 20 minutes from Nice-Côte d’Azur airport and 10
minutes from Cannes, this privately run club nestles at the
heart of Valmasque forest. Its superb and slightly hilly layout
is crossed by a river and numerous water obstacles and is
a not-to-be-missed golfing experience!
The current clubhouse has been integrated into
the original picturesque building, formerly a
17th century oil mill, especially, in the reception,
wooden presses dated from 1836, remind us of the
original character of the building. Modern locker
rooms have been installed within these walls, pro-viding
all the comfort and luxury that is expected
of such a prestigious club. Large and luxurious, the
clubhouse is very cozy and the large bay windows
of the restaurant provide a beautiful view of the
fairways of the 1st and the 18th with the Alpes
in the background.
Le Mas Candille
Le Mas Candille is a luxury 5 Star hotel that offers 45 rooms,
including seven suites. Each room has been individually
designed using flair and imagination to produce a perfect
combination of tradition and modernity.
This 18th century converted farmhouse holds 19 of these
cosy Provençal styled bedrooms, which are elegantly fitted

The Renaissance Club

No championship course in modern times has so swiftly
achieved such recognition. As early as 1988, Valderrama began
to host the newly-launched Volvo Masters and in 1997 hosted
the 32nd Ryder Cup, making it the only club ever to have hosted
the event outside its traditional homelands, USA and Britain.
Everybody has heard about Valderrama
“the Augusta of Europe” but its success is really
down to Jaime Ortiz-Patino and a few of his golfing
mates. In 1985, the industrialist billionaire bought
what was then a fairly average course. He then
spent an absolute fortune on it and now it’s one
of the best courses in the world.
Accommodation
