Sweat-borne Secrets by Sally Jenkinson SAMPLEBurning Eye
This short collection confirms Sally Jenkinson as a poet of great talent. In the twelve poems presented here she demonstrates an individual voice that many a more seasoned poet would kill for. This is poetry from the messy world of real life, where going through the mill and the mire ‘Stellared, smoking, sinning, choking’, is all part of the party. Sally has an exceptional ability to capture a moment not only as a well crafted image but as an adept evocation of the emotion we feel in our hearts and stomachs. A confident debut from a poet whose name will become familiar.
Are You As Single As That Cream? by Amy McAllister Burning Eye

Travel
In “Why I Travel” by Molly Sprayregen the view on traveling is that it is not about simply experiencing another culture, but about experiencing something new about oneself. When traveling it is a time to learn and try new things; it is about grasping the full idea on how little we all really know about the world we live in. Traveling teaches people how each and every person has a lot to offer others, and it helps people appreciate home and differentiate between what is important and what is not. A benefit would be on how Molly states how traveling helps you form a gut instinct on who you can trust, even if it was learned after trusting the wrong people along the way which was a cost to traveling. Another important point Molly made was on how anything that is worth doing in life tends to be accompanied by pain, whether it is physical or emotional. On another note, she also stated how it is from that pain, that we get a sense of joy.
Then, in the second article about Deep Travel, it is on an interview with Tony Hiss. He states how Deep Travel is a state of mind in which you channel the feeling you get from traveling and use it to broaden our lives. It is a talent in which we are all born with and can easily access. From what I read, Tony is leaning more towards the fact that people do not need to travel to get a feeling of relaxation and so on. He states that reading can evoke a similar state of mind. From what he wrote the benefit would be that there would be no need to really travel anywhere, but a cost would be that you would not be experiencing anything new. Overall, traveling is an exhilarating thing to do, but it can easily be done from home.
Deep Travel
· You can get the same feeling from home.
· Don’t experience, so much as thinking, reading, and remembering.
· A talent.
· A state of mind.
· You can get a feeling of exhilaration from thought and feeling.
“Why I Travel”
· Traveling from place is the best way to get the full experience.
· You learn about yourself, not just culture.
· Something best done, not learned.
· Helps form a gut instinct.
· Helps clear what is really important, and appreciate home.
· Both value traveling.
· Life is simple.
· You learn.
· Teach what we do not know of the world.

Preface
As a student major in sociology, I have learned a lot about being objective while operating a social research, as well as facing the outcomes of others’ surveys. To be a sociologist, one is asked to hold an independent perspective during the research process, he or she can choose to be only an observer or choose to observe and meanwhile participant in the activity of their research objects. I am always working to possess intellectual empathy to put myself in the standpoint of others for better understanding. To be a critical thinker possessing the intellectual humility, means that one has the awareness of own biases and prejudices, which means that I cannot be emotional nor subjective to make the conclusion. Everybody is born to be unique, everyone has their own personal experience to form their unique viewpoint., everyone has weakness need to overcome. negative emotions toward certain objects would lead to a detour, I can not face and fairly address ideas and beliefs in this case, it is actually not kind of stereotype, most frequently, it is the irrational sympathy for a certain group which will lead to the detour of research road. To be objective and critical is crucial for an investigative reporter. The non-profit investigative news organization contributes to serve public interest, in my process of insight into the investigate journalism, I come to realize that the requirement for reporter should be extremely high. The reporter firstly should put public interest beyond personal viewpoint, secondly he or she must be rational objective and be stubborn with his or her own beliefs, values and ways of thinking, not dependent on others for the direction and control of one’s mind. The most important rule for them, is the truth. From my personal point of view, reporter should look into the truth from various perspective, assume every type of possibility, show th.

Hair or bare – down there
We are meant to be hairy. It’s part of being human, or more accurately, part of being a mammal. As an adult woman I am meant to have hair all
over my body, (except for my palms and the soles of my feet which would indicate I’ve been bitten by a werewolf). And yet for more than twenty
years now I have been systematically ripping those poor innocent little hairs from various places deemed too hirsute to be cute – legs, armpits and
eyebrows. In all that time I never once cultivated my lady garden. Not once. It was pretty neat as it was, I really didn’t give it a second thought until
a couple of years ago when I decided, on the spur of the moment, feeling all gung-ho, to go Hollywood. Absolutely totally bare – down there.
The reality of waxing
So it came to pass that I found myself lying on a treatment table staring at the ceiling while a complete stranger was parting my labia. Awkward! My
teeth were clenched, my eyes shut tight and rrrrrrrrrrrrrriiiiiiiiipppppppp! Holy fucking shit balls! It hurt! Not just the "stings a bit/mild discomfort" of a
leg wax, not the "ooh, won't be doing this again" of an armpit wax, not even the "bloody hell, are you fucking kidding me", eye-watering pain of
eyebrow threading. This was, without a doubt, the stupidest thing I had ever done in the name of vaj vanity. This was pain akin to proper
constipation and/or childbirth. And she had only just started.
For the next 50 minutes my complete stranger removed all the hair which millions of years of evolution had deemed appropriate for my vejayjay.
My own fault, of course, for asking for the Hollywood in the first place. For the Hollywood there is considerable poking, parting and stretching of
various bits. Then, if you thought your humiliation couldn't get any worse the question is asked "how far do you want me to go?" What she was
asking was did I want my butt waxed. Not the cheeks, the puckered bit. Nobody wants to think they have a hairy poo hole. But for me, it was a
question too far. I knew the words "anal bleaching" were just a moment away. Time to get the hell out of there!
Silky smooth
So it was awful, but oh my! The results! So smooth, so soft, I couldn’t keep my hands off it, and how it enhanced the sexiness of the oral variety.
So much more scope for kissing and licking and oh my goodness gracious me, don’t stop, don’t stop… I was hooked. I had to keep up this smooth
groove, but like a rookie I thought, “surely I can do this at home?”. Oh, how wrong I was.
Don’t try this at home
I can now confirm that a chubby girl trying to wax her own bikini area is akin to a blind, one legged man trying to hang wallpaper wearing oven
gloves. You will only despise yourself as you try to position said bikini area front-on to a mirror while pulling skin taut with one hand and applying
exceedingly high-tack home waxing strips with the other. The high-tack strip will stick to everything it is not supposed to including your knee, your
wrist, the nearby chest of drawers and itself. After a half-arsed shambolic attempt to beautify my bouf, I was left with a mess of patchy pubes. What
a disaster. Time to apply the hair removal cream.
Chemical burns
I’m not exactly sure what it was I did wrong, but I was left with the world’s saddest looking fanny. It was red, sore and oozing stuff that was sooooo
not meant to be there. And that’s how I discovered what chemical burns look like; very, very unpleasant and not at all inducive to happy smiley
“ohh, lick me there” fun times with my lover. Still, it was a lesson learned. Older and wiser and all that.
