HAVRE DE GRACE content to sit back and outside, continued under confident handling off the pace and the inside in the run up the backstretch, fell back a
bit off the two leaders far turn, roused four path turning for home, closed gap upper stretch, collared the leader inside the furlong grounds and was edging
away late with good late energy. SWITCH three wide when under restraint early, moved up to be closest to the leader before a half, went after that foe
second turn, put a head in front when straightened for home, proved no match for the winner late, clear of the others. ABSINTHE MINDED broke on top, got
clear into the first turn, rated kindly while setting a modest pace, retained that lead under pressure into the lane, unable to match the top two the final
furlong, far clear of the rest. MISS MATCH (ARG) took well back past the wire the first time, continued to trail, asked along second turn, no factor in the
drive. BELLE WATLING (CHI) chase early, displaced from the runner up position before a half, began a steady retreat soon after.
