PROJECT
OVERVIEW
CLIENT
Wrapology
BRIEF
Sheridan&Co partnered with luxury
packaging company Wrapology to host
a design competition in celebration of
the Queens diamond jubilee.
THE
OBJECTIVE
Both Sheridan&Co and Wrapology
have a long history of encouraging
upcoming talent in the world of design
and the partnering of Sheridan&Co and
Wrapology for the Queens Diamond
Jubilee provided the perfect occasion
to continue this.

A public competition online would
be held to discover and promote the
work of upcoming designers. The
participants would be asked to design
a Queens Jubilee carrier bag, with the
winner’s work would be used by Buck-
ingham palace gift shop.

The Study space in London would
provide an interactive exhibition space
for the 15 top designs, encouraging the
public to enter in, examine and vote for
their favorite designs.

Online voting would assist a panel of
judges in deciding a winning design.
THE
SOLUTION
Sheridan&Co and Wrapology trans-
formed The Study into a exhibition,
showcasing a collection of favorite
historic bags from Wrapology’s ar-
chive alongside the top 15 competition
designs.

The retail space that The Study offered
meant that public interest and inter-
action with the bags remained high
throughout the exhibition.

The exhibition ran for a week prior to
the winner being chosen in a special
event by a panel of judges including
BBC News royal correspondent Luisa
Baldini, Maxine Benson MBE of Every
Woman, Ian Rooney of Packlab, Ju-
lien Sheridan of Sheridan&Co, Tracey
Campbell of RedBox; and Roddy Bald-
win of Green & Stone.
RENDER TO
REALITY
RESULTS
Both the exhibition and the finalist’s
event were extremely successful.

The Study’s versatility ensured that the
exhibition welcomed in any interest
from the general public, allowing them
to interact with the 15 finalists and then
vote for their favorite right then and
there.

The display of Wrapology’s achives
provided a fascinating insight into the
artistry that occurs in the world of
packaging through the synthesis of
aesthetics and functionality.
