- 2. What we do
Wonderbird is a global strategic consultancy that helps cultural
organisations expand their resources to support growth and change.
We believe success is a reflection of strength and purpose right across
the whole organisation. We take a holistic approach covering financial
growth (fund development and commercial income), mission, brand
narrative, stakeholder engagement, organisational and strategic
planning, coaching and board development.

- 3. Our approach
Arts organisations can no longer stand still. Anticipating change is a
constant state today. We help our clients to be proactive and define
those changes, rather than wait for them to emerge because when
circumstances change, it happens fast.
Competitive and challenging times mean growth has to be the
ambition. Growth builds confidence and enables more choices. It
means having a lot of ideas and plenty of options, to carve out your
own destiny. For this, cultural entrepreneurship is essential.
Our consultants mix a creative approach to innovation with hands-
on pragmatism. Our advice is never an ‘off-the-shelf’ formula. We
evolve what’s right for your organisation by working closely with you:
capturing ideas, feeding back and shaping as we go.
Our strategies reinvigorate organisations - their financial strength, their
audiences and their brands.

- 6. Wonderbird Lab
In 2014 we created Wonderbird Lab. The Lab is about connecting
leaders of top cultural institutions and developing the next generation.
Focused initially on creating networks and sharing knowledge
between leaders of cultural institutions, we have brought together a
group of thinkers and doers: leaders representing different art forms
who are facilitated by Wonderbird to think about the future and
deliver change.
The first leaders group, now well established in the Netherlands, is
in 2016 creating satellite networks in five other European countries.
The programme combines small discussion forums where leaders can
discuss major topics that move beyond the day to day, a private online
forum where innovative practice and thinking is shared and an annual
learning trip of leaders to see good practice first hand and meet peers.
