Ayurveda believes everything in universe made upto of panchamahahoota,
Why preexisting diseases exacerbates in winter, answer is doosivisha
Those with sensitive skin when contact with cold water and cold surface will fkare up. Mast cells are very sensitive , what make them more sensitive is unknown.Mast cells relaeases histamins when the allergen is encountered.Histamin causes vasodialation i.e dialtionor expansion of blood vessel. This cause bumps in the skin. More sensitive patients even leads to anaphylaxis.Sweeling of lips, throat, low B, loss of concsiousness etc
Cold air is generally has less moisture in it less humidity in it, so it sucks humidity from the surface of skin. This cold air makes our skin drier.
Along with this lack od hydration, lack of nutrition and not wearing protective clothes exacerbates this condition.
Scracthing cause skin to crack and bleed which puts a risk of infection.
Hot shower subsequently cause extra evaporation of moisture which is there on the skin and became more dry(apply moisturiser on moist damp skin)
