Where social expectations mold our desires, where social obligations are the root of our existence. The emphasis is on others’ well being rather than on personal wellbeing. There is a feeling of sharing, bonding and reciprocity which is unique. A deep sense of humanity which prevails which fosters mutual growth. Unlike in Western cultures, emphasis is on “we” than “me”. This humane perspective makes our lives more meaningful, and hence more morally responsible. This in turn influences our moral emotions. These strong bonds of relationships provide a sense of security and safety which makes possible to overcome any obstacle in life with ease. Moreover, these personal groups also become a source of inspiration, celebration, as well as mourning. “Understanding Emotions from an Indian perspective: implications for Wellbeing.” 2010 Dr Meetu Khosla

6. Law Enforcement
Code of Ethics
• As a law enforcement officer my fundamental
duty is to:
– Serve man kind
– Safeguard lives and property
– Protect the innocent against oppression or
intimidation
– The peaceful against violence or disorder
– And to respect the Constitutional Rights of all men
to liberty, equality, and justice.
9. I recognize the badge of my
office as a symbol of public
faith, and I accept it as a
public trust to be held so long
as I am true to the ethics of the
police service. I will
constantly strive to achieve
these objectives and ideals,
dedicating myself before God
to my chosen profession –
Law Enforcement and the
citizens of Shelby County.
17. The polls have turned.
The people have opened their eyes.
Division, Hate, Failure, and Lies
No longer work here.
It’s time to restore Shelby County’s
Pride
Prosperity, Dignity, & Leadership.
“ONE SHELBY COUNTY”
Make sure our voices are heard
on Election Day
18. God bless my family when I am away,
Leave the lights on I’ll return from
harms way,
Grant me courage and strength to
protect others each day,
So they live in peace without worry,
fear or dismay,
Bless those who have fallen given their
life for another
May their spirit live on from then and
forever,
Return me home to my family at the end
of each night,
May I pass through the door before the
morning’s first light,
Shall I give my life for another before
the dawn breaks today,
God bless my family when I am away.
19. Special Thanks to the
supporters and volunteers
through this campaign.
I humbly and respectively
ask for your vote.
