Catcher remains fantasy baseball’s thinnest position (think tight end in football), with only J.T. Realmuto and Salvador Perez finishing inside the top-100 players last season. Put differently, the No. 10 fantasy catcher last year (Martin Maldonado) was the No. 487 ranked player overall (No. 190 hitter).

It happened just past midnight on the East Coast, 34 years to the day the last time a World Series game concluded like this. There are so many possible outcomes for the final play of a baseball game. Home run. Strikeout. Single. Groundout. It's a testament to how good players are that what unfolded in the earliest hours of Sunday morning was so jaw-dropping, an unforgettable October moment, when a fielding error ends a World Series game.

Rediscovering Relevance for the Science & Engineering Library - presentation ...Patrick "Tod" Colegrove
Faculty members across the Sciences & Engineering agree: the e-resources of the library are used more heavily today than their print counterparts were fifteen years ago. Learn how one library has rediscovered relevance to its academic communities by removing over half of the printed collections from the physical space.
The DeLaMare Library was the "beautiful library", with impeccable collections, located in a historic building at the crossroads of the departments it serves on the university campus, and had undergone a complete retrofit and remodel in 1997; yet 12 years later, students were only occasionally seen browsing its collections, with faculty only dropping by to put materials on course reserve. This paper is a case study of how the library, after in-depth analysis of holdings and close observation of end-user patterns, made seemingly radical changes that have resulted in an over five-fold increase in gate count in less than two years; rather than a quiet repository of books, the library has become a hotbed of learning and knowledge creation, with students and faculty driving the need to more than double the number of computer workstations and library open hours. Details shared will include numerous low to no-cost ideas that have proven effective in front-line advocacy for the Science & Engineering Library, and enabled the library to meet the increased demand without corresponding increases in library staff.

'The logic doesn't make sense' — Why the Rose Bowl should be moved this seasonJohn Eilermann St Louis
There’s no entity in college sports that mixes unbridled arrogance with a lack of self-awareness more consistently and persistently than the Rose Bowl. For decades, the Rose Bowl’s addiction to tradition has proudly impeded the progress of the sport’s postseason by blocking a playoff.

Wacha, Adams lift the Cardinals to even series versus Reds
CINCINNATI – Michael Wacha out dueled Reds ace Johnny Cueto with a little help from the bullpen and Matt Adams who entered the series hitless. Adams would end his 0-9 season starting slump by blasting a home run that provided the go ahead run as St. Louis defeated Cincinnati, 4-1. The game was played at the great American ball park in Cincinnati where the Reds lost their first match of the season. While things wouldn’t start off promising as Wacha was beat by Todd Frazier for a home run in the first inning he was not rattled. Wacha managed to shut down the Reds for the following 6 1/3 innings.
Wacha wasn’t without struggle as Cincinnati’s potent offense would come within striking distance on numerous occasions however; Wacha worked his way out of these jams and stranded 3 Reds at 3rd base and another at the 2nd. Wacha said that he was able to pitch out of the troubling moments with the Reds in the scoring position and added that the success was attributed by the defense that was behind him.
Adams started the season 0-for -9 with 4 strikeouts so a matchup versus Cincinnati’s ace didn’t look promising. Fortunately Adams would bust out of his slump by seeing Cueto’s 0-1 changeup and sending it to the crowd, much to their dismay with a solo home run onto the netting over the right field netting of the cardinal’s bullpen. This would put up St. Louis 2-1 in the 4th inning and the birds would lead for the rest of the game.
Jhonyy Peralta and Yadier Molina also added RBI singles in the 9th. According to Adams for him to win the matchup he needed to be consistent especially when Cueto lead off with a changeup a pitch that seemed unhittable to Adams during their first series in Chicago.
The Reds have managed to win all four previous games this season by feeding off of their opponent’s bullpen. St. Louis Manager Mike Matheny used five relief pitchers against the final six Cincinnati bats showing no fear after removing Wacha in the 7th inning. The Birds bullpen would reward Matheny’s faith and close the game out with near perfection.
For the Reds, Frazier continues to provide power. He gave the fans something to cheer in spite of a loss in American Ballpark. The Reds also continue to flash their speed and managed to move to 10-for-10 stealing bases on the season even against the highly touted St. Louis catcher Molina. Things are looking good for both clubs, and the division rivalry should be a good one in the NL Central this season.

Narrated Business Proposal for the Philadelphia Eaglescamrynascott12
Slide 1:
Welcome, and thank you for joining me today. We will explore a strategic proposal to enhance parking and traffic management at Lincoln Financial Field, aiming to improve the overall fan experience and operational efficiency. This comprehensive plan addresses existing challenges and leverages innovative solutions to create a smoother and more enjoyable experience for our fans.
Slide 2:
Picture this: It’s a crisp fall afternoon, driving towards Lincoln Financial Field. The atmosphere is electric—tailgaters grilling, fans in Eagles jerseys creating a sea of green and white. The air buzzes with camaraderie and anticipation. You park, join the throng, and make your way to your seat. The stadium roars as the Eagles take the field, sending chills down your spine. Each play is a thrilling dance of strategy and skill. This is what being an Eagles fan is all about—the joy, the pride, and the shared experience.
Slide 3:
But now, the day is marred by frustration. The excitement wanes as you struggle to find a parking spot. The congestion is overwhelming, and tempers flare. The delays mean you miss the pre-game excitement, the tailgate camaraderie, and even the opening kick-off. After the game, the joy of victory or the shared solace of defeat is overshadowed by the stress of navigating out of the parking lot. The gridlock, honking horns, and endless waiting drain the energy and joy from what should have been an unforgettable experience.
Our proposal aims to eliminate these frustrations, ensuring that from arrival to departure, your experience is extraordinary. Efficient parking and smooth traffic flow are key to maintaining the high spirits and excitement that make game days special.
Slide 4:
The Philadelphia Eagles are not just a premier NFL team; they are an integral part of the community, hosting games, concerts, and various events at Lincoln Financial Field. Our state-of-the-art stadium is designed to provide a world-class experience for every attendee. Whether it's the thrill of game day, the excitement of a live concert, or the camaraderie of community events, we pride ourselves on delivering a fan-first experience and maintaining operational excellence across all our activities. Our commitment to our fans and community is unwavering, and we continuously strive to enhance every aspect of their experience, ensuring they leave with unforgettable memories.
Slide 5:
Recent trends show an increasing demand for efficient event logistics. Our customer feedback has consistently highlighted frustrations with parking and traffic. Surveys indicate that a significant number of fans are dissatisfied with the current parking situation. Comparisons with other venues like Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center reveal that we lag in terms of parking efficiency and convenience. These insights underscore the urgent need for innovation to meet and exceed fan expectations.
Slide 6:
As we delve into the intricacies of our operations, one glaring issue emer

Wild Card Obs
1.
2. Showtime debuts the Kevin Rafferty documentary “ Harvard Beats Yale 29-29 ” which is about the 1968 matchup between the undefeated Harvard and heavily favored undefeated 16 th rank Yale. Perhaps this opens the door for my just as relevant football documentary on the 2004 Lingerie Bowl I matchup between the Los Angeles Dream and the New York Euphoria. The film boast such celebs as George Bush, Tommy Lee Jones, Doonesbury's Gary Trudeau (whose cartoons are not funny even back then!), and a player who dated Meryl Streep.
3. Indianapolis Colts QB, Peyton Manning wins a record fourth NFL MVP this season by a landside over other vote getters like Drew Brees, Philip Rivers, and Brett Favre. This news came just less than three weeks after Peyton was nominated for a Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Local TV Series !
4. Okay, Joe Gibbs—here they are so you will not keep getting confused: Rex Ryan Buddy Ryan
5. Carson Palmer The Jets upset the Bengals in the first playoff matchup of the weekend, beating them for the second week in a row. It appeared that Bengals QB Carson Palmer could not pass nearly the entire game. Not being able to pass seemed to a trend for Palmer this week. Like on Tuesday, driving. Or on Friday’s Algebra Finals.
6. The temperature reached a chilly 20 Degrees in Cincinnati for the Jets-Bengals Playoff game. This weather forced Jets QB, Mark Sanchez to dress warmer for the game than normal.
7. To insure the Dallas Cowboys do not embarrass themselves any longer in the playoffs; NBC played a rerun of their Week 17 matchup against the Eagles. Thus, the Cowboys won their Wild Card game without having to play football at all. Eagles fans will not be happy their team never got on the field. I’m so going to hear about this.
8. Initially, Minnesota defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier refused to be interviewed as he felt he was a “token interview”. Luckily for the Seahawks, Frazier agreed to be interviewed on Saturday. This week, Seattle Seahawks fired Jim Mora only after one year as head coach. Within minutes after that story, it was reported that USC’s coach Pete Carroll would be hired as replacement. But before any deal could be finalized, Seattle would have to interview a “minority” coach to be in accordance to the NFL’s “Rooney Rule”. Whatcha’ talkin ‘bout, Seattle Seahawks? If Frazier did turn them down, the Seahawks would have went to their only other option to comply with the rule…
9. NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said Saturday the spirit of the Rooney Rule on minority job interviews had not been violated by the Redskins or Seahawks. Then last week, Redskins hired Mike Shanahan shortly after firing Jim Zorn. To comply with the rule, the Redskins interviewed Assistant Coach Jerry Gray before Coach Jim Zorn was even fired. To say Redskins owner Dan Snyder had no intention of hiring Jerry Gray would be unfair; however, the interview was a bit unusual. Jerry! You still here? Man, I just had this dream I hired Mike Shanahan instead of you!
10. The New England Cheatriots could not overcome vicious defense and running game of the Baltimore Ravens. Tom Brady was reported to having a broken finger, and injured ribs last week, but after this game he was left in a heap. I can’t believe this, I even wore my cute, fuzzy hat.

12. The Cardinals defeated the Packers in Overtime 51-45, and was the highest scoring the game in playoff history. But based on how both teams scored those points, should it count?.
