In graphite industry, the isotropic graphite have another professional
name“Isostatic Graphite”.What does isotropic or isostatic mean? I think I

The coke is crushed and grinded in the first. They are mixed sufficiently.
Then, they are screened and pressed. Here, the press is different. The
stress modes are tetrahedral and evenly stressed, which is differ from the
molded graphite, as molded graphite are pressed by two sides, not all.
Only by these fully stress, the bulk density can be called isotropic and
isostatic. The green billet should be baked and impregnation. They are

graphitization and purification, the finally product graphite are
completed.
In addition, the flexural strength of isotropic graphite is as high as
55Mpa, compressive strength is high to 125Mpa, Specific electrical
resistance is 12-15. The gain size is as lower as 12, bulk density is high to
1.90, and the shore hardness is from 50-68, as the times of baking and
impregnation are different. The key important element is that the gain
size and bulk density of the isotropic graphite is same from anywhere you
cutting down. However, the molded graphite you cut down from different
position in one vary considerably.
From the analysis, we get the information easily that the Real Isotropic
Graphite are more accurate. It has superior value for some special
industries, for example, Semiconductor, Industry Furnace, Monocrystal
Pulling and High Temperature Furnace etc. Choose suitable graphite
material, to make a difference.
