2. Definition
To me the definition everybody should use any bit of information that they have learned
should be used for the best to solve problems that are not easy to solve. Integrative studies help
us integrate different areas and use each one to help us solve the problems that don’t away use
the same knowledge to solve the problem. Integrative studies are important to use because not all
problems are complex. Problems range from easy to challenging and not everybody knows how
to solve the problems. Integrative studies helps people solve the problems need to be successful
and accomplish whatever they want.
Education
My three areas of concentration are Exercise and Sports Science, Education, and
Integrative Studies. Well this decision all started when I was a senior in high school and our
football season was coming to an end. I grew up in a small town and the only thing we kids lived
for in a small town was to play for the hometown football team and that is what I did I lived up
to my childhood dream, but that isn’t where my dream stopped my dream to play college football
somewhere and become famous. I was living the high life enjoying every minute of my high
school career before it ended. Well my dream of college football ended when I was a junior and I
was getting big and strong to be a beast on the football field and being self-centered thinking
everything I have ever done was because of my doing. It was a Thursday afternoon I will
remember this day for the rest of my life because it is the day God brought me down to my knees
and humbled me. That fall afternoon was the day all my hard work to become a great football

3. player went away I broke my wrist and had two surgeries to repair the bones, but really God was
repairing my broken life. Junior year flew by and I didn’t get to get stronger or faster for my
senior because of my broken bone. Senior year and football season was over and I needed to
think of my career for the future and I prayed and talked to God and my family and I decided that
my calling was to be a coach. I decided to be a coach because I change the lives of several
people that need it and teach young men or women the greatest that is God. The three
concentrations I have can interact with each other by coaching, exercise, sports science and
education is important together for me to become a coach. I need to teach something and an
integrative study. It is important I will need to know how to solve complex problems in the
coaching world. These three areas out together create a great degree for me to integrate exercise
and sports science, education, and integrative studies together I can be a great interdisciplinary.
The three areas came together well. When I become a teacher I will have to know how to solve
problems and be able to think on my feet. I do not know where my future will go, but I do know
who holds my future. I want to be a coach so that is why I chose the three areas of concentration
that I did . I feel like if God called me to do it then I should follow Him.
Complex Problems
Complex problem is a problem that can be solved many different ways and has to use
different types of thinkers to solve. Complex problems are all over some people can solve them
and others can’t. The complex problem I want to study is how to get young people determined to
do great in everything they do. Young people don’t always understand that it is important they
put full effort in everything they do. Determination in every aspect of life makes that person
driven and wants to accomplish more with their life. Every young person as the chance to
become whatever they want to be as long as they are willing to work for it. That is the complex

4. problem I want to study. The problem is complex is because there is several ways to solve the
problem and every person is different and come from different backgrounds and even places.
The problem isn’t that young people don’t want to do great things it is they don’t think they can
do great things but they really can. My three areas of concentrations might help me solve this
problem, but another area that helps me solve this problem is human physiology. Human
physiology would help me to research my complex problem by the way the human brain work. I
know this might not be a problem that will be easy to solve and I know it will take a lot of work
and faith and I accept the challenge.
Connection
My dream job is to be a professional football coach. One day I wish to coach a football
team in the NCAA or National Football League. I know that isn’t going to be easy to do but I am
willing to work hard to get where I want to be. I enjoy the game of football and I know I would
love to wake up every morning to go to work. When I am coaching I am extremely passionate
about the sport. The three areas of concentration I have picked will help me get to my dream job
by letting me learn the game more and more by each person I work with. Being a coach I cannot
just start in the NFL I need to work and learn from different coaches and mentors to help me
learn something from each person to keep evolving my career. My three areas will help me in
each field of becoming a coach. I will need to be a teacher and leader which will use education. I
will need to be able to make my athletes bigger, faster, and stronger which will use exercise and
sports science. Integrated studies will help me integrate everything I need to follow my dreams to
be a professional football coach. When I graduate from Texas Tech I hope to be coaching the
offensive line at the high school level and continuing to work hard to eventually be where I want

5. to be and even when I get there I still will work hard. Nothing in life is given it is earned I will
have to work hard.
