An ecosystem is a community of interacting plants, animals, and other organisms in a specific area, along with non-living factors. It includes biotic factors like plants and animals, which are living organisms that grow and undergo processes like photosynthesis. An ecosystem also contains abiotic factors, which are non-living aspects of the environment such as slope, aspect, and altitude.

manufactures their own food.
