Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic is a contest launched by Craftsvilla.com to find India's first Miss Ethnic. The contest received close to 50,000 entries from across India and the world. Ten finalists will be selected from the entries and one will be crowned Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic 2015 by Kareena Kapoor Khan on October 9, 2015. The finalists represent different talents including cooking, dancing, singing, and playing musical instruments that celebrate their ethnic identities.

The celebrations include worshipping nine goddesses over nine days through stage decorations, recitals of legends, and chanting scriptures. Devotees also fast, and on the final day statues representing evil are immersed in water or burned with fireworks to mark the destruction of evil. The festival preparations lead up to Diwali, the festival of lights celebrated twenty days later.

The most recent Miss World winner was Vanessa Ponce of Mexico, who was crowned by the outgoing titleholder Manushi Chhillar of India. Many past titleholders have gone on to advocate for important issues and support charitable causes through their platforms. - 3. The contest which kicked off on the 24th of July has received close to 50,000 entries. People have been sending in their entries from all over the country and also from around the world. The website received close to ten thousand entries in the first few weeks alone.
- 4. Ten exceptional ladies will be selected from among these 50,000 and one of them will finally be crowned Craftsvilla Miss Ethnic 2015 by Kareena Kapoor Khan on the 9th of October 2015. The final round of this contest and the crowning will be telecast on Zee TV.
- 5. The contestants will be groomed by ace designer Archana Kochhar and will get a chance to showcase their talent on national television.
- 6. All the aspiring Miss Ethnics who have sent in their entries have some or the other talent. Some are bloggers, some are homemakers, and some are working women with different jobs. They’re talents include great cooking skills, dancing, singing, playing an Indian musical instrument, yoga among many other ethnic talents. Their unique talents is what makes them special and worthy of the title of Miss Ethnic.
