Cellulite is a condition where fat deposits under the skin give it a dimpled and lumpy appearance, most noticeable on the buttocks and thighs. It is present in almost all people regardless of weight, though more fat is deposited in overweight individuals, making cellulite more visible. Hormonal changes after puberty and certain genes can contribute to cellulite development, as can a diet high in fat and carbs and low in fiber, and a lack of regular exercise.
