orking closely together with Schibsted Norge Digital in Oslo.
9. • In the spring of 2012 several other companies in the
Schibsted Media Group requested to set up teams of
programmers within STP.
• This led to a new strategy for the company. Our new
vision is to be a world-class programming center for
companies in the Schibsted Media Group.
• On October 1st 2012 we moved to our current offices in
the Avatar office building on Armii Kajowej in Krakow.
• During Spring 2014 an important decision was made to
open a new office in Gdańsk.
• June 2014 - first employee starts in Gdańsk office.
• Nowadays Schibsted Tech Polska has two offices, one
in Krakow and one in Gdansk. Who knows what will the
future bring? :)
10. The programmers in STP Kraków are organized in teams
that work for different partner companies whereas some of
the programmers in STP Gdańsk are dynamically assigned
to various projects for partners within Schibsted Media
Group.
Each team cooperates closely with colleagues from its
partner company be it Norway, Sweden, Spain or UK.
Because we work with different partners, STP is involved in
a wide range of exciting projects using different
technologies.
Free code sharing among Schibsted companies is
established as a principle for projects in STP, encouraging
synergies between partner teams.
Our way of work
11. We emphasize open and direct communication in our work
culture. Staff are encouraged to ask questions, propose
ideas and suggest ways of improving processes.
Work languages are both Polish and English. Polish is used
within the team and the company, but all teams also have
daily contact in English with colleagues in Scandinavia and
other regions.
We have video conference systems set up in both offices to
make communication with partners as easy as possible. In
addition Skype, Blue Jeans and Google Hangout are used
frequently. We use Slack to communicate on daily basis.
