Now make phone calls from GmailGmail service will add a feature that allows  users to call any phone directly from their computers.
Google will roll out the new feature to US- based Gmail user over next few days.
User can call any phone in US & Canada for free for at least rest of the year. Goggle also promise cheap international callsCalls to Britain, France, Germany, China, Japan & many other countries will be billed as low as 2 cents per minute.Gmail already has a voice & video chat that allows the users to talk to each other.
Jairam dashes Vedanta’s hopes of mining bauxiteVedanta resources plans for India appear to under siege with the environment ministry rejecting  its proposal to mine bauxite in nilyamgiri Hills of OrissaThe refinery has allegedly violated the environment Protection act by increasing capacity to 6 million tones per year from 1 mtpa without getting the requisite clearance.
Vedanta has plan to use bauxite from niyamgiri mines to operationalise the lanjigarh refinery. The mine would help the company to reduce raw material costs.Now, the company will seek alternative bauxite mine to feed its alumina refinery after  the central government denied permission to mine bauxite in Niyamgiri.
Now trade in stocks on cell phone SEBI has cleared the security mechanism to be deployed by the broker to prevent fraudulent.Users will need multiple passwords to log in for trading.Investor would also need an internet enabled phone & a mobile banking account to transfer funds from his bank to the broker to purchase shares.
Mobile trading facility would allow more investors to move to internet from physical brokers.Some of the biggest telecom companies in India are also waiting to tie-up with brokerage houses to let subscribers transact in stock market using mobile phones.BSE & NSE had installed necessary technical equipment to facility mobile stock trading.
