If you’re going to install a laminate floor – and you’re not an expert – there are a couple of things you need to, and several of them are not all that obvious. First off, it is not the sort of task to take on yourself – get at least one or two people to help you. Most rooms are a good size, and even a small room is going to require two to three planks in a row. Well, all of the joints have to be supported while you lock the new row into the old (previous) one. There is no way to do that by yourself!
The document provides information on various products being sold through a home shopping catalogue. It includes details on a colour changing kettle, an electric milk frother, a canning essentials set, and the PediMax home pedicure system. 2. *Sugru bonds to most plastics like ABS & PC but not to oily plastics like PE, PP & Teflon.
**Be careful with electricity - stick to small consumer electronics repairs below 24 volts.
Sugru mouldable glue bonds permanently to most materials:
plastics*, metals, glass, ceramics, wood & fabrics. Sugru is
a slow-set technology designed to give you plenty of time
to mould, build, seal, fix, bond & make your project so you
can take your time to get it just right.
In 24 hours Sugru turns into a strong & flexible silicone rubber
with some pretty amazing properties; it’s waterproof, temperature
resistant to 180ºC (356ºF) & down to -50ºC (-58ºF) dishwasher
proof, UV stable & electrically insulating** making it perfect for all
those jobs both indoors and outdoors.

3. Get started with Sugru
Here’s a little gift from the team at Sugru.
If you haven’t used it before Sugru is a mouldable glue that
feels like play dough but acts like superglue and sticks to
pretty much anything. It’s great for fixing and modifying things
in the home and garden - a handy little tool to help with any
small DIY project.
Check out the easy and fun projects we’ve put together for
you in this booklet - all of which can be done in a matter of
minutes and have been designed to inspire some creative
thinking when it comes to future home hacking.
Other things you’ll probably find handy in your home hack
arsenal are a nicely sharpened pencil, some tape for holding
things in place, some tissue paper for keeping your hands
clean and dry and of course your phone for capturing and
sharing your greatness!
Jane (Inventor of Sugru)
Enjoy and good luck with it all!
Did you know that Sugru is available in 10 great colours?

4. KEEP YOUR IPAD SAFE
WHILE COOKING
Cooking is best when you’re free to make a mess. Keep your
iPad clean and off the kitchen counter when you cook, with
three discreet rubber hooks. Your iPad will be held securely in
place but can be easily popped in and out as needed.

5. Look where you can store
pot lids! Make two small
hooks from one single-use
pack to hold pot lids securely
in place on the inside of your
cupboard door.
Make these hooks
anywhere from the shower
to the kitchen, you’ll have
everything organised in no
time.
Step 1: Place your iPad against
the wall and mark the locations
of the three hooks with a pencil.
This project uses just one
single-use pack of Sugru. Break it
into 3 equal pieces, one for each
hook and roll them into balls.
Press each ball firmly onto the
tile over your pencil marks.
Step 2: Mould and shape Sugru
into a long pyramid shape. Take
your time, Sugru is a slow-set
technology so you have plenty of
time to make it look good.
Note: Sugru will work on most surfaces,
however emulsion paint can be weak so
avoid using it on painted walls.
Step 3: Finally, gently bend
Sugru into a hook shape. Repeat
this process for the three hooks
and leave them to set for a full 24
hours. When set, you can slide
your iPad in from the side or rest
it on the bottom two hooks and
flex the top one to lock it
securely in place. Tadaa :)

6. INSTALL BATHROOM FITTINGS
WITHOUT USING A DRILL
There’s nothing better than finding an easy way to do a
difficult job! Sugru is waterproof and bonds brilliantly to
ceramics and metals so you can easily install hooks, towel
rails and loo-roll holders directly onto your tiles without
any messy drilling. Result!

7. Step 1: Bathroom fittings are
often made in two parts: a
mounting bracket and a nice
chrome part. This is a clever
design solution that hides ugly
screws from view. But using
Sugru instead of screws makes
this job a whole lot easier.
Step 2: Roll one single-use
pack of Sugru into a ball and
divide it into three equal pieces.
Press Sugru firmly onto the back
of each of the screw holes on
the mounting bracket and shape
them into pyramids.
Step 3: Press the bracket firmly
onto the tiles so that Sugru
squeezes through the holes and
out the sides.
Note: Sugru will work on most surfaces,
however emulsion paint can be weak so
avoid using it on painted walls.
Step 4: Press Sugru back onto
the bracket and clean away any
excess. If the bracket is heavy,
use masking tape to hold it in
place then leave Sugru for 24
hours to fully set.
Quick test: Make sure the hook fits over
the bracket before leaving it to set.
Step 5: 24 hours later, install
the chrome hook over the
mounting bracket.
IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND. Just
cut the Sugru off with a sharp knife,
clean the tile and it should look as good
as new.

8. PROTECT SURFACES FROM
BURNING WITH RUBBER FEET
Someone forgot to add a design feature to hair
straighteners to prevent them burning surfaces when they
are left down for a moment! Problems are often creative
opportunities, so don’t live with them, solve them. Hack it
better with these clever rubber feet that keep it propped up.

9. Add bumpers to stop doors
banging. The very same
rubber feet can make noisy
doors satisfyingly silent. Now
instead of banging, your door
will bounce!
Feet fall off appliances
sometimes! Now you can
rebuild those missing parts
with lovely rubber feet that
will also protect your
surfaces. Bonus.
Step 1: Roll a single-use pack of
Sugru in your hands and divide
it into two equal pieces.
Step 2: Press Sugru firmly
onto the plastic to get a good
bond, then press it repeatedly to
get a nice hemispherical shape.
You might like to gently rub
the surface to make it nice and
smooth. Repeat the process for
the second foot.
Step 3: Make the feet level by
gently pressing them onto a flat
surface. To make sure the Sugru
doesn’t stick to the surface, rub a
bit of soapy water onto it as
Sugru will not sitck to soapy
water. Finally, turn the
straighteners over and leave for
24 hours to fully set.

it’s dishwasher proof too.

the metal with Sugru. She thinks
this is much better than the
original and we thoroughly
agree! Good to know: Sugru

SOME GOOD SUGRU TIPS
Make sure surfaces are clean and dry. Use
Sugru at room temperature (about 21ºC /
70ºF) if you can. It’s no big deal, cold will
just slow down its set time. Sugru sets 3mm
thick in 24hrs and thicker pieces usually take
longer.
IF YOU EVER WANT TO REMOVE SUGRU
Once set, Sugru can be removed from
non-porous surfaces by just cutting it off.
Then clean surfaces with a cloth. It may leave
a mark on some surfaces.
MAKE SUGRU LAST LONGER
Store your Sugru in a cool dry place below
21ºC (70ºF). Or even better, keep your
unopened packs in the fridge, it will make
them last 3 times longer! See the reverse of
each single-use foil pack for its use-by date.
AND ASK US ANYTHING:
If you have any questions, just get in touch.
We love nothing more than hearing from
people who use Sugru! So hop on email,
twitter, facebook or even the good old
fashioned phone, and ask us things :)

WIPE YOUR HANDS WITH A TISSUE
After using Sugru, it’s best to wipe your hands
with a tissue before washing them with warm
soapy water.
CAREFUL NOW
Don’t use Sugru to hang heavy objects. In
fact, our recommendations and sugguestions
are only for guidance, since we don’t have
any control over the conditions of use.
So - do be careful.
Sugru is fun to use, but it’s not a toy, so
keep it out of reach of children. Also, it’s
not for eating, so - don’t eat it. If someone
swallows Sugru, seek medical advice and
show the single-use foil pack or the tin.
